That they did. I guess they are trying to split up updates now early to beat out congestion, something they shoulda did years ago.

This is a weird update.

It seems like SE is planning on releasing a huge amount of stuff what with the updates being incremental.

So far, however, there hasn't been much information to lead me to believe that this is the case. Missions, shantotto (no augments yet?), some job adjustments and some new vague item system? It doesn't seem like there is a whole lot there for them to make this huge update out of.

Then again I have no idea what this item system is and it may be incredibly detailed and expansive so much that they have to update the game this way.

If you remember back when WoTG came out, they had a pre-update that came out about a week before the actual real update and the client downloaded all of the Dancer Animations. It is completely feasible that ASA will be downloaded during this time as 29 MB seems about the right size for the mini expansion itself. /ROM7 (Kupo Expansion Folder) is only ~13 MB. I will be .DAT mining the update later on to check and see if ROM8 appears and also to check to see if any new items appear.

Reason being is that most of the time spent on PS2 and Xbox is via the check file process and the fact that it is much slower than the PC itself. The download times are almost the same from what I see PS2 vs PC, but the check file and install takes forever.

We'll know tomorrow. If the .dats are updated with the dialog tables for ASA, then we can figure them out in a matter of minutes after the pre-update happens.

I'm going to have to agree here, why the fuck are they hiding the auguments, they didn't do this crap with the 1st 2 expansions, i'm guessing they want enough people to purchase it on impulse only to reveal they aren't worth shit, of course they will let us know by tommor cause it's the DAY of the update, seriously, what are they trying to hide, already bad enough they made them legs which imo is probably the worst slot you can do as oppossed to hands or a ring.

there are going to one day waits after each of the 24 quests in it.

Man I can see it now, farm lvl -1 mobs outside the main 3 turn in some rare item that drops off them and then you are forced to wait till JP midnight to start the next quest.

I cant think of anything they could do to make the legs all that good for the bulk of the jobs lol.

unless its like magic attack+10 with like +4 int blm rdm sch will not use them(they will but anything less would be a small upgrade not worht the money >.>). Also unless its something nuts like +5 attack and acc I cant see smn using them.(well i guess - prep too? lol) it seems like the mage ones unless them come up with something we would never think of (aka: something new or overpowering the old ones badly) wont be used.
