Okay I've gotta come to BG and vent somewhere. Though it's rather just to see if there's anyone in the world that understands what I mean.
Everytime a new patch comes out, the requirements for raids become higher and higher.
Before 3.3, holy paladins didn't need 40k mana or 55k health to heal/tank 3.2 content. So why is it that now that 3.3 is out anyone who is 'under geared' (aka doesn't have full ICC25 heroic gear) apparently is automatically UNABLE to heal/tank 3.2 content.
Story:
I was making a ToGC 10 raid. I'm a holydin with 32k mana / 2.5k SP buff'd. Before 3.3 that was considered GEARED for Ulduar/TOC am I wrong?
So having the appropriate gear for the appropriate raid I was making a group for, a retarded shammy calls me out on my gearscore. He says that I'm not geared enough for this and hopes I'm good. I simply tell him I'm fine, because I am. If anyone disagrees that 32kmana 2.5k SP buff'd for ToGC10man is enough please let me know and explain why.
So we start the fight and it's going well, Gormok is already at 20% DPS is all doing 5.5k-6k which is fine. Then he throws fire on me, instinctively I move left. As I was moving left I see a snobold flying onto the hunter I'm moving towards. We're both stunned and simutaneously a fire pops under both of us where we both die.
Simply unfortunate. There was no skill involved to avoid such a thing. I could have bubbled but I found it more useful at dreadscale/acidmaw so I saved it.
Well as soon as we wipe the shammy calls me out on dying first and says "SEE YOUR GEAR IS SHITTY YOU SUCK!' rage quits and leaves. Of course everyone knows in a pug when someone rage quits everyone else does too so I wasted an hour getting a group together.
My question to WoW BG is, do any of you understand the point I'm trying to make? The same thing happened in Naxx when Ulduar came out. "YOU DON'T GOT 4K DPS YOU CAN'T DO NAXX!" When naxx is easily done with 2.5k DPS.
Thanks for reading.
