I gathered up a list of the mods after recently stumbling across yet another unfamiliar mod name: Aerides (although I think he's a BG member but obviously not all BG members are mods)

also, there is no list of mods in the FAQ's that I could find, and I thought I'd put this together for the curious-minded like myself; lemme know if I've missed any

TBR might be in the same boat as me with no special name, but I have no clue. I'm pretty sure I'll be unmodded when the Vanadiel Madness concludes, but it's been put on hold until Sono has more free time to help organize it.

Some of the light blue names are "Wiki Mods" afaik, which could explain Aerides but I am not wholly certain, but who cares I love Aerides. She's probably more responsible than everyone else on that list, and it's doubtful she'd hand out infractions left and right like some moderators

The distinction between a mod and an admin is that an admin has more backend powers (creating, moving and removing forums/threads, mass pruning ability of forums/posts/users, user administration such as appending profile information, user rights, ability to delete users.) Basically, admins get the ability to access the MySQL backend of the forums, through a front end GUI, meaning they don't have to be given terminal access to the website/SQL servers in order to carry out advanced maintenance and management.

Mods can have some of the admin's perks, but their roles are usually to deal with frontend problems (ie, deleting posts, editing posts) and to act as a liaison between users to help fix problems.

All in all though, most mods & admins are power hungry egotistical oppressive faux-fascists who feel the need to belittle average people to make up for lack of power & control in their own pathetic, dead-end-job-flipping-burgers shithole of a life.
