Preferably supernatural/zombie type thing. Not really into the whole slasher genre as I find it to be very cheesy.
Thanks.

For zombie, you cannot go wrong with George Romero. Also, if you want to see a zombie versus a shark, try Zombi 2. That shit is classic.
If cheesy B movies are your thing, you might also try Cabin Fever.
Amityville Horror(both the original and the remake), Ju-on, Ringu if you're into ghost flicks. Ju-on scared the shit out of me, no lie.
28 Days Later.
Although it was based of a video game, and the whole movie wasn't horror, I though Silent Hill was really well done. Some very creepy stuff in it. Ring/Ringu, 28 Days Later (28 Weeks was good, but not as much as the first) Still I will suggest it. If you haven't seen Dawn of the Dead and it's 2005 (I think 05) remake, they are both good. I actually prefer the remake in some aspects.
Dog Soldiers or GTFO
Planet Terror is my favorite cheesy horror movie.
These are the movies I have on my HD atm:
Blood: The Last Vampire
Boy Eats Girl
Dance of the Dead
Laid to Rest
Land of the Dead
Day of the Dead (2008)
Shaun of the Dead
Trick R Treat
Zombieland
as far as horror goes anyway.
I rarely count zombedies as horror films, fwiw.
Fido is a good zombedy, if you haven't seen it.
personal favourite is Jacob's Ladder, its psychological horror though so it can be hard to follow here and there.
follows a Vietnam war veteran who has recurring nightmares, visions of monsters, horrifying experiences.
etcetc
Audition
Well if your into going to the theaters, Paranormal Activity just surfaced near me in socal. Took my wife to see it last night... legitimately scared the shit out of both of us. My wife was actually pissed that I made her see it. haha
Ok. Let me put on my horror movie hat.
Dog Soldiers - Fantastic werewolf flick that not too many people have heard of.
The Changeling - Older "ghost" story with George C. Scott in it. Spooky movie, not to be confused with the piece of garbage Angelina Jolie was in that has the same name.
The Outpost - An indy movie that was very well done as far as I'm concerned. It's about a group of present day mercenaries stuck inside an old Nazi bunker in the Eastern Bloc. A bit slow moving to start with, but very enjoyable.
Trick R Treat - I loved it. Very much like Creepshow with how all the different "stories" all end up mixing in together.
Event Horizon - Basically a nonstop mind fuck the entire time starring Sam Neil aka the guy from Jurassic Park.
Session 9 - One of my all time favorites. It's about a group of asbestos removal workers working on a closed down insane asylum. Fantastic movie that keeps you guessing up until the very end.
Halloween - The original. Not that piece of shit Rob Zombie garbage. While it's still a "slasher" flick, it was way ahead of the curve and became the Bible of slasher movies.
The Thing - Older John Carpenter movie with Kurt Russel, Wilford Brimley, and Keith David. How can you go wrong?!
Quarantine - American version of the Spanish movie REC. Excellent flick that I really didn't have high hopes on. Very entertaining with some genuinely creepy makeup.
Dead Snow - Thoroughly entertaining Nazi Zombie movie.
Deadgirl - Fair warning, this is not a movie to watch with your significant other or children. Long story short, teens find hot girl zombie in a basement. Draw your own conclusions as to what happens next. Let's just say it's disturbing.
Dead Birds - This movie really disturbed me. It's about a group of Confederate soldiers that rob a bank and proceed to hide out. Special effects really are creepy.
Cemetary Man - Not a horror movie persay. But still a very good movie that really only makes sense at the very end of the flick.
Last House on the Left - The original version, not the piece of shit remake. This movie is genuinely fucked up.
Frailty - Some people like this movie, others hate it. I enjoyed it because you could never really quite tell how it was going to end.
I'm sure I'll think of some later on. But this is what I've got right now.
Frailty is a fantastic movie. I know a lot of people who hated it too, and didn't really understand why. Session 9, also great. The simple fact that you hate slasher films, however, means you're dead to me.
Did Dog Soliders: Fresh Meat ever get made? D:
Not to my knowledge. So far as I know it's still bogged down in preproduction and all that shit. Which usually means it's dead. And I can't really fault the man for not liking slasher flicks. Outside of Halloween I feel that most of them are cheesy rip offs(with a few exceptions.)
A couple of good mainstream ones were "The Others" and "Sixth Sense".
Other than those I can't think of any atm which saddens me.... ;x
Hellraiser was always my favorite horror "series". I'm a big fan of the Freddy / Jason type movies though XD
Going to check out a bunch on that list.
Night of the Living Dead (68 )
The Omen (76)
The Hills Have Eyes (77)
Poltergeist (82)
Candyman (92)
This man is wise beyond his years.
When I say "slasher" films, this is what I mean. Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc. Those are fantastic movies. The 80's was the peak of horror film making.
A fantastic non-slasher film not mentioned here is "The Descent". Fucked up for two reasons...it takes place in an enclosed cave, so it strikes a chord at a core phobia, and it's just psychologically fucked up. A must-watch. Probably one of the better horror flicks of this decade.
