That's the best part of this game, the servers are more less the same... Everything has the same crappy drop rate so rare shit is expensive and common shit is cheap.

Pick a server where you know someone that is willing to help you get started. You'll have a lot more fun.

Phoenix is the most populated server normally you want to go to those for more interaction with people.

Ifrit is probably your best choice of servers to join. Shit's so backwater, there's still tons of people working on Zilart missions and CoP, as well as people rank 5 and below. Also, if you ever need help with anything in-game, just shoot a /t to Aurara. Better yet, go to whitegate and shout for help with anything and everything.

Careful with that, you'll have to sell more fire crystals on a cheap server to outpost warp.

ffxiah.com front page has a per-server economic index. Servers with more inflationary activity and net population influx naturally rank near the top.

All thought the logic doesn't really stack as it makes it impossible to make money as a new player as a lot of things you farm aren't worth much more than NPC prices.

But if you have a mule full of cash on another server then you will get more for your money over here.

Some of the people here are a special kind of stupid, I can make 10-50k a day just buying stuff off the AH and selling it to NPCs for a profit. I suppose you could do the same as a new player (once you have a few 100k as a float).

There is really no "best economically." You're not gonna find anywhere that's going to be better bang for your buck, so to speak. If you're looking for pickup groups, packet bot HNMs, and crummy post-deadgame drama, you could try Asura. And what Konda said is probably on the mark.

Asura wouldn't be a bad server at all tbh. I switched from Phoenix a couple months back, and it's totally different there. As opposed to the big time endgame LS's of Phoenix that are all-inclusive with events (and exclusive with membership), Asura has a ton of individual event shells going on that focus on one specific event, which gives a bit of freedom to what you spend your time on. Things also seem a lot less "regulated" on Asura, if that makes sense, such as the smaller NM's, farming spots, etc.... Argus, VE standing around looking ugly and bored on Asura vs. being camped by seven people on Phoenix ftw! WG shouts tend to be more random CoP, Kirin burns with freelot stuff, etc on Asura vs. people constantly calling each other whores on Phoenix... Idk. I've also heard it's improved there, so who knows.
