Turning HDD from my dead laptop into an external, quick question:

Anyway this is the hdd out of my dead laptop:

Just want to make sure I buy an enclosure for it that will work. getting confused with sites using IDE/PATA/SATA. It looks like PATA to me, is that interchangeable terminology with IDE or something? These enclosures are cheap as hell but I don't want to order the wrong thing obviously.

IDE/PATA are the same.

You have to make sure the enclosure can directly connect to a laptop 2.5 hdd, else youll need to buy something like http://www.6deal.com/en/ide-25-35-la...wer-cable.html

Thats pretty much the same model I use when I need to hook up laptop drives to my pc for diagnostics.
