Figure I would break the threads up seeing as those 64gigs are becoming difficult to find.

I have two 32gig iTouches, factory sealed, newest generation. They retail for $300 a piece, am selling for $165 each, $320 for both. Going to NYC next weekend, want some spending money. Paypal is a bitch and takes eons to transfer, thus I reeeally prefer western union instant transfers. I have been listed in the BG whitelist several times and can be trusted.

Lol, i suppose I shall explain, seeing as I value the mod's opinions here.

I work for a biotech company that recently, like 3 months ago, made a major purchase from apple. Multi, multi millions of dollars spent on everything from at least computers (the ones I work with) to supposedly server type stuff. I inquired as to what the whole purchase was, and my supe basically told me that it was in the tens of millions and that all I need to know is those shiny new Macs I am working on are the result of it.

Trust me, I know it sounds ridiculously unlegit, and at this point quite frankly I don't mind explaining despite being told not to (I'll leave the company name anonymous).

Because the company invested so much, Apple gave each research intern (like me) and full timer employee accommodations to buy apple products. We were each given the opportunity to buy 2 64gb and recently 32gb at a really, reaaally good discount.Word has it it that we may be able to get a macbook each at a discount as well, though it is unsubstantiated so far.

So, because most of my fellow employees are in their 40s+ they have little use for a a bunch of itouches, and I offered to buy them for more than they get them for, and thus sell them here for a little profit as well. It is much more of a volume thing than an actual per item profit for me. I sell a 64gb for 250, in the end I am not making nearly as much as you think I might. But hey, I commute to work and it pays for gas so meh, works out in the end.

Edit: and Epi, the reason why I prefer Western Union is because I got lazy with Paypal providing tracking numbers and shit, and they locked my account that took like 2 weeks to unfreeze, at a time when I had to be at a dental conference in NYC and could have used the extra cash. Thus, fuck paypal, I am not ripping anyone off, just trying to facilitate things as easily as possible, which they have proved to be cumbersome in doing. Talk to anyone that I have dealt with and they will speak with the utmost confidence. I am def not scamming, I was an original BG member for christ sake, I value this board more than a tool to make a quick buck.

I wasn't pointing fingers, or accusing you or anything, it just struck me as funny-sounding. Thanks for explaining it though, I'm sure that helped a few people who have looked at this thread. That's pretty cool if you get them for as cheap as you say you do. Sure you may be turning a profit by flipping them here, but the people buying them here are still getting them for half price (or so), so as long as we're not participating in some massive iPod Touch smuggling ring, it's gravy. =)

For real tho, I know I could get more for these on ebay or something, but I like the ease of doing it here. I am trusting of the people on this board, even those I don't recognize.

No worries about illegalities either lol, only thing I ever stole was an eraser when I was like 5 from a store that my step family owned. Mother was not pleased. I was like the 50th person ever to join this board and the community has always been cool, I wouldn't compromise it by using it as a conduit for crime.

ugggggh.. i want one, no money right now til school refund checks come in. I had never wanted to buy one before because i refused to downgrade in storage size (had a 30gb 5th gen). Hopefully you can get some in a month or so

Its all good buddy, no worries. i will inquire about classics, I am not sure. The emails that were sent out originally just said 64/32 gb, and just 2 each. Oddly they didn't say anything about the 8 gb, ill look into that as well if anyone wants.

And yeah, I have no idea how long the accomodation will last, most likely the limiting factor will be finding people who haven't bought theirs. As I've said, its already getting tough. I could start asking people in other areas of the research team that I don't really have interaction with, but they will be strangers lol.
