Which DBZ or Naruto games are worthwhile?

    Sorry for the new thread.

I've never really played any of the DBZ or Naruto games on PS2 / Wii / 360 / PS3 for any length of time despite being big fans of the shows. My understanding is that they've all come quite a long ways since the SNES days for DBZ (Hyper Dimension was one of the best to me, but had a very limited roster selection..).

I played DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for the Wii briefly, but got annoyed with the control scheme and briefly played the first Budokai game ages ago.

I've never played any of the Naruto games on PS2, PSP, or PS3.

Which ones are worthwhile? I've heard/seen good things about Ultimate Ninja 4, but I've no idea if Ultimate Ninja Storm for PS3 is a better purchase.

I've heard mixed things about Raging Blast and Burst Limit, as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions for which games are worthwhile? Or if I should hold out (supposedly another Ultimate Ninja game's coming out in a few months?). I appreciate it.

as far as I can tell, they are all mostly the same exact thing except with different character rosters.

Havent played Accel, but Narultimate Hero 3 on the PS2 was pretty solid and i hear people like Ninja Storm on the PS3(only played the demo, which was fun to me)

Imo DBZ the ps2/wii/gc DBZ games were pretty bad because you just go back and forth blocking each other's combos until someone messes up and gets Super'd. I'm not sure if the combo system has been changed in the newer ones but im pretty sure the demo's are out for that too.

DBZ Legends will always be my favorite DBZ game.
Played that on a modded PS1 because it was only out in japan at the time. English DBZ was only up to the frieze saga, so I didn't even know who half the people were, but it was a shitload of fun.
I remember thinking, "Oh wow who are those 4 pink guys and why is he wearing Goku's shirt?!"

Legends. If they made some kind of MMO or online-based Legends, I'd never play anything else. Free flight + 3 on 3 combat + a new take on life-bars = a winning formula. That game did all the little things right.

i'd be happy with just a well-built classic turn base RPG w/ either of those.

The "best" Naruto game is probably Narutimate Hero 3, for the massive cast, awesome moves, and depth.

The most "fun" Naruto is probably Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 for the Gamecube. That game was just nuts, and getting 4 guys together to beat the stuffing out of each other with forged (and consequently broken) alliances and back attacks is nuts. I spent most of my downtime in college playing GNT 4 on my buddy's gamecube.

    Oh man, Legends was great.

I remember the 'special' fights or whatever, one that put you as Cell versus #17 and #18. I swear, something about their AI was souped up.

Is Narutimate Hero 3 in Japan only?

I'm not that big a fan, but my friend loves the PS2 Naruto fighting games(+ the new one on the PSP) and I can at least say they are the best Naruto fighting games I've played. He didn't care for the PS3 one though, even less so when he and a friend found out some random strat I made up a long time ago is apparently unbeatable.

Ultimate Ninja Storm on the PS3 was a really good game.

I have a campaign in age of empires two that mimics dbz very well. Probably the best dbz game.

Blanking on the name but there was a hybrid fighting game/platformer Naruto game for 360. I picked it up and it was quite fun. Let you playthrough the first ~70 episodes of the show. Fully explorable Konoha with fun sidequests like ramen noodle delivery and shit. Fighting had a fun gimmick with it letting you use the 2 sticks to do the hand gestures for advanced jutsu (never played other naruto games so idk if this is standard but it was cool at the time)

I loved the DBZ RPG on SNES (that uses cards for battle)

Going to agree partly with BK and fully with Rokku.

Ultimate Ninja Storm on the PS3 was really fucking good, it was much better than I expected. Small tidbit, the sequel will be out this fall and on both consoles.

Naruto Rise of the Ninja on 360 was a decent game.

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans is the one you'll want to get. It's $30 and it's worth it.

Which one is it? I would love to see. I downloaded several mimics and it was all too cringe worthy for me

Man, now I'm torn. So it's sounding like for Naruto:

    Ultimate Ninja Storm (PS3)
    or
Ultimate Ninja 4 / 5 (PS2). I've watched videos of them, and I just remember Itachi's Amaterasu looking badass as hell in Ultimate Ninja 4.

The main thing I heard about UNS is that it has a limited roster selection compared to the others. The only thing UN5 really seems to have over 4 (unless I'm missing something) is time-skip Sasuke and Yamoto, a few more Akatsuki. Though I heard in that (and UNS, unless I'm wrong) the amount of ougis/supers/hyper moves/w/e was severely limited. Though I think they had a team attack (I saw a cool one Itachi and Kisame had, as well as Sasuke/Oro).

Either way it sounds pretty hard to go wrong.

What about DBZ games? Like I said, I know legends is great (I still have it on my Saturn. . as well as Shin Budokai), but what about the more recent ones? Rebuy Budokai Tenkaichi 2, since 3 was supposedly lame? Or just wait on another one, since I heard Raging Blast wasn't all that hot?
