I recently started using my DS again and my school's wifi is no longer allowing me to connect so I was hoping to just buy a wireless router and set up my own.

On the wired end, I do have to authenticate periodically with my schools server to maintain my internet connection, it is a simple login screen that I just give credentials and it 'turns the internet back on' so to speak. My internet will go off and I am redirected to an authentication page on my desktop. So basically, I'm worried that if I buy a wireless router and hook it up to the wall, it won't be able to authenticate and that only my PC is actually being authenticated.

So preferably, something like the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector would be awesome. It is really lame that Nintendo just decided to stop supporting it, as you can see from the link I provided. However a USB connector would probably work after I authenticate since it's essentially just throwing the internet from my PC up into the area around me. I have no idea if a wireless router would be fine or if there are similar USB wifi products to the Nintendo one, so any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
