Blackberry 8700c - hooked up via USB, red light on, but phone not on

So, while my iPhone is broken, trying to use an old 8700c that I had. Battery appeared to be dead, so I hooked it up to my computer with a USB cable (since I can't find the charger), and now the red light is on, but the phone still won't turn on. Any help is appreciated.

Probably just really really dead, blackberries can take forver to charge up if dead as a door nail. Go away for like a hour and come back, should be able to turn on then. Orrr your phone is bricked.
    Good luck!
