    PC Issue

So my computer doesn't even show anything on my monitor anymore. It turns on fine, but after a few seconds, it beeps about 4-5 times. I'm guessing my RAM is dead and I should replace it or is it something else? Thought I'd ask you guys first before buying stuff.

Does it fail during POST or it does not even get to it?
Also, those beeps are an error code and will give you an idea what the problem could be.

yeah it's an error code, need model (or better yet, read the manual directly) to know more.

*this* x10 we need to know the exact Motherboard you are using the manual will tell you exactly what the problem is based on the number of beeps it is making. If it is a reputable Mobo that is...

Sorry, the motherboard is an A8N32 SLI.

I don't have the manual around because I've had this rig for quite a while, but I just searched around and some people say the 3 short beeps mean I have bad RAMs. Wondering if you guys can confirm that, cause I don't want to be buying the wrong stuff.

    Edit:
@Sieg I'm not sure what POST is but I know I don't get shit on the monitor lol

Your RAM is bad. Try booting with only one stick at a time. Also run MemTest.

http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...32-SLI_Dlx.pdf manual is here for future reference, couldn't find beeps in there so I went with Bioscentral http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/amibeep.htm

Tried Clear CMOS? Try each of them in every slot while you're at it :<

Take the circular battery out for a few seconds and move the jumper named CLRTC from its position 1-2 to 2-3 for a few seconds then back to 1-2, put the battery back and done.

It's not necessarily the RAM that's bad it could be the motherboard.. If you have another board lying around I'd pop the memory in there and see if it works.
