Question about Cats

So for the last 1 year i've had a cat. In her entire lifetime, she's been outside for about 10 minutes of it. But recently a friend's dog came into our place and gave her fleas. For the past 2 weeks, she started behaving very odd and attacked me for no apparent reason. She never did that ever before, soft bites sure, but now she was going all out, growl, hiss, go OM NOM NOM NOM on any piece of skin she could find. So I decided to toss her out.

She has no idea wtf outside is. I'm a huge, huge cat lover, and I hate myself for doing this. But now that she has flea, she just can't come back in. She's at my window right now, looking at me, not understanding wtf, she looks like she's starving, but I gave her food away.

So all this just to ask... Does she has a chance to survive and somehow remember she can hunt for food, or will she just stare at me and starve to death?

Lets just say you hope she runs into a caring individual who will take her in...maybe take her to an animal shelter? Not saying her chances are a whole lot better there but they beat being tossed on the street.

No your not lol. If you had that cat from birth and it has never been outside it is good as dead. It isn't the hunting for food that will kill it, its cars, dogs, the hundreds of things out there that the cat doesn't know to avoid that will.
If you are just going to toss it out, the least you could do is take it to an animal shelter. At least it would have some chance there.


Edit: I reread what you posted and i'm not sure if you are saying you tossed the cat out and don't plan on feeding it, or just making it an outside cat.

Have you abandoned your cat because it got fleas? Or have you just put it outside until you can get some flea treatment to get rid of them? The behaviour change is just an itchy cat being annoyed by the fleas.

If its the former you're a fucking terrible person and your cat is going to die soon. If its the latter, its still not a very nice thing to do. Better to keep them in a non-upholstered area, bathroom/kitchen for example, and get some flea treatment ASAP.

Fleas are a simple problem to get rid of. Get some Advantage or something, don't just toss the cat out because of it. They make shit to take care of fleas ya know. Cat lover my ass...

Flea collars, flee medication, there's a ton of solutions out there. I don't know why the cat became aggressive though, it could be from the fleas I guess.

EDIT: Oh and take it to a vet to, since it could be something more serious than fleas.

deal with the fleas, if she's been an indoor cat all her life, then you are doing her a HUGE problem by putting her outside. Stick some frontline on her and be patient.

or do as they say and get her dipped. Just so you know most vets now have that free financing card you can get so even if you can't afford the 100$ you can pay it off bit by bit.

I think there's a misunderstanding. She started to attack me before the fleas. For absolutely no reason she literally jumped on my back and scratch the fuck out of it.

I've had cats all my life, including a persian who got fleas like no tomorrow. putting a cat outside just because of fleas is retarded no matter what you did initially.
