    Terran Early game suggestions.

I have a horrible time keeping myself protected from early rushes. I know how to wall off, but I think my build is way too slow to usually protect me. Usually if a Zerg player can get 6 zerglings out, I am just done. What is the best build order and time for walling off? I have watched a ton of videos on how to prevent a rush, but I still don't feel like I have it down perfectly yet.

9 or 10 supply 11 rax 11 depot, and you'll stop a 10 pool no problem, just keep 1 or 2 scv at the wall till your first marine pops out.
Edit: Same works if a protoss proxy's outside your base, but then you send 1-2 reapers to fuck his base up

9 supply > 10 rax > scout shout tell you if they are on the way.

If so make another depot to wall off and hold off with SCV's until your marine arrives.

Also if you want to work on your rush defense then go play the challenge that does that.

if your problem is speed, try learning to hotkey a bit more and learn to queue up tasks for that 1 or 2 scv that you have building things.

pop out a marine behind your depot, they can kill the zergs while the zerg scratch up the depots/rax

Dont really need hotkey in the first 5min.

If you can't block in time for 6 pools, do it, otherwise, bunker in scv work nicely usually. Keep in mind your scv will destroy 6 lings, especially if there is one marine around helping. If it's 10pool, your wall should always be ready in time for the rush (9 supply, 10 barrack...etc).

6 pools is the only one that can be potentially dangerous imo, but keep in mind its screwing up the zerg economy really badly. If you can survive with more than 6 scv, you're probably ahead of him still.

Terran is so strong against zerg, reapers > hellions > thors/seige tech, you have so many strong options and the zerg is paced by how you act. You are most likely just playing too passively.

Don't rax before 12 unless you're cheesing yourself. If you start majorly altering your build to accommodate cheese openings, then you won't survive anyone that DOESN'T cheese. Even on a 2-player map (meaning the opponent knows exactly where you are from the start), a 6-pool won't get to you until you're well into building your rax.

The first anti-6-pool measure is to scout with the SCV that builds your Depot. If he runs into lings before you get to the opponent's base, then it's a 6-pool. Pull several SCVs (3ish), toss up the 2nd Depot that finishes your wall (The Barracks will probably already be building by now), put the other SCVs on Auto-repair to buy the building SCVs more time, and replace any SCVs that are killed while building.

In the event that the lings get through, pull more SCVs (leave 1 or 2 mining if you can), and Attack-Move them into the lings. Once they're attacking you probably want to try to micro them to get 2-on-1 attacking each ling to minimize losses. Even at this point, make sure to finish/rebuild your wall, because a 6-pool doesn't stop sending lings, and if you have to face the reinforcements, you'll lose.

If you manage to get a Marine out in this time, try to surround him with SCVs so the lings can't get to him, and so you don't have to kite with him wasting precious firing time.

Trying to stop a 6pool is stupid because no matter how you spin it your always going to lose.

They go 6 pool its too late to scout it because your rax won't be done by time you see the lings or just finishing.

You plan for it and they fast expand, grats your econ is shit because you built a 7 rax and skimped on workers.

Best to try and plan to beat it but don't screw yourself because 98% of the time its not gonna happen.

You're not going to lose if you're wall'd. There is a few map that can be blocked by a single barrack and supply. If you needed 2 supply, the 2nd one will be halfway done by that time.

And I wasnt saying to 6 rax. I simply said that if you survive the rush with 6-7 scv (or more), your economy is still ahead of the zerg probably.
