    Blitzer's Roll

Testing was done by Zophim and Ragoz in my LS. Big thanks to them!

Testing was done by using a 528 delay scythe naked, and recording tp after 10 hits. I used the TP amounts to calculate the delay using the TP gain function backwards~

    0 - 528 Delay - (0%)
    1 - 517 Delay - (2.0%)
    2 - 510 Delay - (3.4%)
    3 - 504 Delay - (4.5%)
    4 - 468 Delay - (11.3%)
    5 - 500 Delay - (5.3%)
    6 - 494 Delay - (6.4%)
    7 - 490 Delay - (7.2%)
    8 - 484 Delay - (8.3%)
    9 - 520 Delay - (1.5%)
    10 - 474 Delay - (10.2%)
    11 - 464 Delay - (12.1%)

The original TP data is as follows:
    0: 144
    1: 141
    2: 139
    3: 137
    4: 124
    5: 136
    6: 134
    7: 133
    8: 131
    9: 142
    10: 127
    11: 122

As expected, this roll looks pretty sweet. I'm out of the loop as I haven't played in weeks. So for myself and maybe others, does it stack with dual wield? Or is it a separate multiplier in the overall delay formula?

So what's the verdict on this? Looks like it's only good for 1 handed DD's as it messes with X-hit builds too much for 2 handers. The one major exception I suppose being during a 2-hour zerg where you don't give a shit about TP anyway and are just spamming attacks.

I would expect this to be very good in Abyssea; given melee using Eve's atma, and often holding TP to not get ruby lights.

Any info regarding the use of AF2 hat with this?

AF2 hat is not likely to work with it, considering they introduced Navarch's Tricorne +1 & 2.

Don't really see a use for this....you gain TP that much slower, and the reduction rate is very similar to the DA rate increase on fighter's roll (no war in party)...if it stacks with DW haste-style, I guess you'll end up with slightly more reduction than listed, but I still don't see it being that special when it lowers WS rate and doesn't affect WS damage, and barely gives a faster swing rate at all pre +DW gear. (some rolls actually look like fighter has a higher % even).

This. Cor3+1 = relic hat. Cor3+2 = job bonus in party.

It has its applications, Failure. There are good DW DD's within the community for sure, and of course this is an applicable boost not just for the best, but for all DW'ers. SE usually doesn't get it right, but as for their intentions, they've said they wanted to balance jobs out a bit. While 2h's have gotten quite a nice array of new equip and skills/traits, DW'ers have too. A lot of this is in the form of dual wield upgrades. Not that I have to remind anyone of Dnc's recent buffs, or the crazy damn sexy 'run-buffz' on nin af3, but Thf too. 10% more dual wield /nin at 90. Recently Auric Dagger (5%) and a new boomerang (5%?).

Now later on, auric and Mirke Wardecors (3%) are probably going to be replaceable, but for now, assuming boomerang is 5, this puts 90Thf/Nin @ 43%. If we add a lucky blitzer's roll to that, that is a ~24.7% increase in DPS. While it lowers TP/hit, DW DD's generally don't care about x-hit. TP/hit decreases, but of course TP/time increases. And actually, the dagger level delay range gets the lowest TP/hit penalty for incremental -delay gains.

Just looking at it from my perspective at least. War roll is garbage for Thf at least, and will be even more so if/when they have AF3. Thf/Nin in a Brd+Cor party, with a 20-25% increase in DPS from that roll, complemented by the new DW3, and easier means of reaching the haste cap. I wanna try it :3 Not to mention if Thf/War gets DW2 eventually, that will be a pretty tasty option.

Good testing, sad it'll mess up a lot of 2handers X-hit, but i do enjoy the thought for jobs that don't worry too much about that kind of stuff...

Starcraft 2 addiction ;X ([email protected] for anyone who plays), FF14, work. I'll be back. I should give someone I trust like 100k an hour to log onto my account and do my Mandau trials that I haven't started.

    Also, down with 2h!

I'll add you to my Starcraft friends list! Can't say I'll log on much in the next while though. Either way, do some of the posts in this thread imply that the dual wield trait is stacked with this?
