Haven't bought a TV in 8 years, having a hard time to decide between a plasma tv or lcd. Can't really afford much with 550 dollars. ><
Was thinking getting this one.

just an fyi, plasma is usually cheaper and if you get one of the better ones it'll be better than a cheaper LCD. if you can spring just a weeeeeeeee bit more, i'd go for this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...srkey=tc-p42u2
I was skeptic about plasma TV life time. Heard LCD last longer but I don't really know. ._. Also heard plasma is cheaper/better too :D thanks~
meh, i had a plasma for about 6 years before i bought this one and it worked just as well as it did when i bought it. i havent touched it since i got this new one though. i have a tc-p42s2 and i love it. my old panny resides in my girlfriends basement, where it collects dust. the only issue with plasmas is image retention, but its so easily avoided i don't worry about it.
Which ever LCD company started the anti plasma campaign was genius because everyone seems to think plasma owners need to buy new TV's ever year or something. Plasmas are better in almost every situation, their only drawback is image retention.
