    Killzone 3

You knew it would happen with the ending 2 gave us.

    http://www.destructoid.com/rumor-kil...e-152434.phtml

Note that this is a rumor and it being released this year, or next, sounds a bit sudden without any confirmation yet.

The Official PlayStation Magazine has dropped a huge rumorbomb on the astonished heads of PS3 fans, naming Killzone 3 as one of its "secret games of 2010." According to the magazine, a sequel to Guerrilla's excellent first-person-shooter is already "deep in development," and should be ready for next year.

The magazine also alleges that Resistance 3 is on the cards in 2010, and that Treyarch has recently mentioned development of a Call of Duty: World at War sequel, continuing Treyarch's commitment to copying everything Infinity Ward ever does, ever.

Going back to Killzone 3, I would say that a sequel so soon is very plausible indeed. While Killzone 2 took almost half a decade to develop, now that Guerrilla has an engine and a full multiplayer structure, it should take a reduced effort to bash out a follow-up. Killzone 2 is still my top shooter of the year so far, so I'd be more than happy to start plugging the Helghast with bullets once again. How about you?

The latest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine has dropped a big fat rumorbomb for fans of AAA PS3 exclusives. Three huge sequels in Killzone 3, inFAMOUS 2 and Resistance 3 are allegedly set to be revealed this year, with announcements arriving at soon as E3.

None of these are surprising, especially considering each of those three games have already been hinted at from various sources and seem inevitable. Nevertheless, if Sony is planning a triple-whammy with these, they might have a very awesome press conference this year, which isn't something you can often say about the publisher.

Hopefully they took the guy who made KZ2's controls out back and shot him.

Still holding my breath for a ZOE 3. None of this is suprising tho. The first quarter for sony is packed full of great exclusives, they'll need another heavy hitter to go with Last Guardian for fall.(Ninja Edit) Forgot about Gran Turismo 5.

Right now looking at MAG, White Knight Chronicles, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, pretty hefty first quarter and a smashing way to start off the year properly.

So this is anoer 20XX year is the year for (insert console here) Games. Last year was awesome, year before that was kinda awesome, KZ3 might even warrant a purchase if it handles better for dummies than KZ2!

Only one on that list of 3 I'm looking forward to is an inFamous 2. First one was mega cash. The other two are just meh FPS's that are pretty.

Agreed. KZ2 was pretty, and not much else. The controls were god awful, and the online was just as bad.

I know I'll be in a small class when I say I really enjoyed 2. The one real gripe I had about it was every match involved every objective, but as far as the game itself, I really really enjoyed it. And the controls will come to you when you use them a bit, they always do with any game you play. Also I liked all the clan options that it included (something with I miss a fucking lot with CoD, which practically has no clan options)

All in all, I thought KZ did quite a few things right. Also I was a fan of the maps...

But meh, I already know a bunch of you hated it, but just throwing in my thoughts.

    Haters gonna hate.

Killzone 2 was great and online was a lot of fun. A lot of faggots complained about guns having weight to them, so they added a high-precision mode via a patch for all the whiners.

The main problem I had with KZ2 was the fact the difficulty ramped up so fast so late in the game. I played the game on the hardest mode available at the start and for the first 10-12 missions I just breezed through like it was nobody's business. Then out of nowhere I found myself starting an area again and again about 30 times.

    Shit just got ridiculous.

It's not Halo or COD so the bro's gotta whine.

oh please, the hardest part of a FPS should not be dealing with the fucking control scheme. maybe if you didn't turn like goddamn frankenstein's monster people would have bothered with classes other than assault.

and I do mean hardest. I got max rank, all ribbons/medals, and the top 1% award the first week I played.

It really wasn't that bad. I never had a problem with it at all. What did you think was bad about it in specific? Just curious.

I found it refreshing that they'd tried something that wasn't a CoD clone, yet had just as good multiplayer and support.

I loved KZ2's multiplayer so much, I enjoyed farming the class upgrades, I enjoyed private matches with friends, I enjoyed the fact that even custom rules matches counted towards stats. I especially loved their back end for player stats and accomplishments online, much like Halo has. The improvements they could make to the game's online as a whole would be something like Halo's foundry, allowing players to make their own maps, and more scope for custom rules (more advanced options such as melee only, increasing advanced environment rules like gravity amount and run speed)

I totally look forward to a sequel, and will definitely be picking it up on day1.

Also, in terms of the controls, as one of my friends said - don't compare it to something else, the control scheme is unique to KZ and it's not just something you're burdened with online, everyone has to play with the same control schemes. Sure input delay could be lessened (and probably will be, I heard talks from them that it would require some engine changes, but nothing that couldn't be revised in another edition of the game) but eventually you get used to it and it's not such a big deal.

turning like the air is made of mashed potatoes. I wasn't a fan of the nagging lag on inputs (even in SP) either.

seriously, scout could cloak, see through walls and disguises, and had a one-hit kill anywhere on your body (unless you were assault), and yet it was one of the least played classes. that tells you everything you need to know about how fucking hard it was to aim in KZ2.

I should note that I got rid of KZ2 before the "precision aim" thing so if it controls like a normal fucking game now, then I look forward to KZ3.
