[Lakshmi] Anduril Endgame LS - Looking for a few members

Anduril is one of the premier endgame shells on Lakshmi. It has been in existence for over 6 years, and in its current incarnation for over 5 years running. We are looking for a few members to round out our roster, which is now 50+ strong and growing every day!

EVENTS

We do a wide variety of endgame events such as Einherjar, Sea, Sky, ZNM, VNM, SNM, King and Miscellaneous HNM (e.g., Fomor, Scylla, ToAU, etc.), Ouryu/Bahamut, KS99, and even mission runs (with an emphasis on capping WoTG missions for the upcoming release of Walk of Echoes). We recently created a LS-only Salvage group that does various targeted runs for members.

*We do NOT currently have a LS-based Dynamis or Limbus. Many of our members simply join other shells for those activities. There are certain popular "feeder" shells to which Anduril members have typically been referred, such as Old Rusty Buckets for Dynamis (which is mainly run by Sahearniitth, an Anduril SH) and SeaLab for Limbus (run by Deathbeckons and others).

LOTTING/ATMOSPHERE

We pride ourselves on having a laid-back, friendly atmosphere in the shell that is drama-free because of the policies and principles upon which Anduril was founded. For example, we operate on an extremely predictable DKP system where you choose a job to mainlot upon joining the shell and enjoy priority on various item drops based on that choice. Pretty much every endgame item in the game is assigned a point value and, in most cases, a mainlot job priority that is expressly VOTED upon by the members. Here is one example:

Novia Earring - WHM/SCH 1st priority --> RDM/BRD/SMN 2nd priority --> all other jobs

Members earn DKP at events, and if a member has enough DKP when an item they want drops, they have the right to [Cast Lots] according to the set priorities assigned to the item. Pure and simple. Once you have geared up your mainlot job to your satisfaction, you are free to switch mainlots. Basically, we do NOT have "wishlists" or "waiting lists" where new members must wait weeks/months/years for the item to slowly filter down to them past all the members who were in the shell before them and amassed hundreds of points. [Cast Lots} is the great equalizer on the playing field.

Another reason our LS works so well is that its leaders have played the game pretty much since NA launch, run the shell for very little (if any) loot incentive of their own, and mainly because they actually enjoy doing the same old content with friends and seeing the LS get stronger.

95% of our LS has multiple well geared and merited 75 jobs, and many have the so-called "hot endgame support jobs" like COR or RDM or BRD or WHM, so we do our best to allow you and other members to not be "pigeonholed" into coming on the same job every event.

EVENT TIMES

Our main event times are Tuesday/Thursday from 8:00PM EST - 11:00PM EST, and Saturday from 8:00PM EST - 12:00AM EST. We also have an optional ZNM night on Mondays from 8:00PM EST to around 11:30PM EST, where the lotting rules are less restricted and most equipment goes freelot to whomever wants.

Another hallmark of our laid-back approach to endgame is that we do not require 100% attendance, even during our so-called "main events" such as Einherjar. We only ask that IF you are online playing FFXI during an event, you attend/support the event and not do side activities such as Nyzul or XP'ing. We do NOT, however, ask people to forgo RL responsibilities simply to maintain an attendance "quota." Indeed, you could maintain good standing in Anduril simply by attending a few events a MONTH, if for some reason RL prevents you from being online Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays for several weeks running.

LOGISTICS/MISCELLANEOUS

The LS is run by "committee," i.e., by its sackholders, with a certain degree of informal seniority accorded amongst the SH's:

Sahearniitth and Kiera helped found the LS in 2005, and are our "senior statesmen" SH's.
Zeth, Dkbutterflavah, Arcaniz, and Mahoro are the other active SH's.

Anduril is looking for a few new dedicated members in the mage OR support category. Note that is somewhat broad; we would welcome WHM, BRD, COR, or even PUPs who don't mind slapping on Soulsoother

Our events are still Tues/Thurs/Sat @ 8PM EST. We never require 100% attendance. In fact, some of our best members range in attendance from 50-90% (including myself as a SH, I typically miss Saturdays now due to RL). Of course, the higher the % attendance, the more DKP you will earn and the more gil you are rewarded when we do tiered LS payouts.

Our current event focuses are:

Abyssea - Of course

Voidwatch - Very lucrative event since not many people do it (although watch how popular it will get if SE ties Level 95 Magians to it lol). Non-rare/ex drops go into the LS kitty for people to DKP, and sold if nobody does, but a % of compensation in gil or DKP is given to the person who relinquished the item from their private chest.

Einherjar - We do this once a week now (on Saturday) where we used to do it twice. Still a fun, quick event and people always seem to need E. Body ;;

Neo-Dynamis - Just got 2 Oneiros Headgears for a couple of our mainlot BLM/SCH. We have been focusing on Arch bosses, including Arch Dynamis Lord for the glowy sword! Note: we do not do CoP Dynamis in Anduril.

AV/Sea/Sky - Timeless? I'm personally sick of sea/sky but we still do it here and there. Yes, even Kirin.

Walk of Echoes - I always love this event since Einherjar is such a dozefest at level 90, and it's still lucrative.

Miscellaneous other end game events, as need arises (Land King KSNM, Vrtra, Fomors, etc)
