    A new thread has been created in the Updates section of the official forums:

    [dev1023] Dynamis Adjustments

    Proceed to the thread.
    Dynamis is scheduled to receive the following adjustments and refinements in the forthcoming version update:

    • Dynamis-wide Adjustments:
      • Maps
        • Maps will be displayable in Dynamis areas.
        • Dynamis maps may be purchased from the same Goblin NPCs who sell the "Prismatic Hourglass."

      • Treasure
        • The drop rate for all items that enhance relic and relic +1 armor will be unified.
          *This drop rate may be affected by the Treasure Hunter ability, but not by exploiting enemy weaknesses.


    • Adjustments to Dynamis-Valkurm, Dynamis-Buburimu, Dynamis-Qufim, and Dynamis-Tavnazia:
      • The above areas will become non-reservable.
        • For more details on non-reservable Dynamis areas, please refer to the [dev1000] Dynamis Reborn! post regarding changes implemented in the May 10, 2011 version update.
        • With this change, Goblin NPCs will no longer sell the "Timeless Hourglass."
        • Furthermore, the "Perpetual Hourglass" may no longer be used to access Dynamis areas.

      • Support Job Restrictions
        • Players will have the option to enable or disable support job restrictions upon entering Dynamis.
        • Certain items required to enhance relic and relic +1 equipment will only drop if support job restrictions are enabled.
        • Support job restrictions may be disabled at any time by investigating the "Somnial Threshold."
          *Support job restrictions cannot be enabled in this way.

      • Monsters
        • Certain items may be used to enfeeble boss monsters in Dynamis-Valkurm, Dynamis-Buburimu, and Dynamis-Qufim.

      • Treasure
        • Drop locations for relic equipment, relic -1 equipment, accessories, and hydra equipment will remain unchanged.



      *Refinements to the upgrade process for relic and relic +1 equipment are still under consideration. Ingredients, drop rates, and other aspects are subject to change.

    I can't wait for the stream of people bragging about doing COP Dynamis prior to optional sub-lock. It will be indicative of people whom were most burned by the restriction.

    sounds like fun, in order to get augmenting items for relic armor you have to fight withotu support job! ergo needing a PT for it

    No subjobs just further limits the kind of jobs people will low-man on, that's about it. For the rest of us, eh...., long as the new high-lvl NMs don't require the restriction for their drops I'm fine with that.

    Shame there's no mention of adjusting the mob placement in Jeuno/Bastok. Those zones are packed WAY too tight.

    Sounds like you farm the rarer stuff you need without support jobs and then go switch em back on once done.

    Now here is the real question. How many people do you think are going to run out and buy a Timeless Hourglass to Bazaar for max gil?

    First thought that came to my mind was the guy I keep seeing who's got one in... well I guess he can flog it as a rare historic artefact or something.

    I don't expect Relic+2 to be anything special. It's just going to make the few macro pieces that remain among that set a slight bit better.

    What exactly is "The drop rate for all items that enhance relic and relic +1 armor will be unified."? It's really horrible wording. They're making the drop rate of.. something the same?

    Possible interpretations:
    * AF2 -1 armors and AF2 armors will drop off all monsters in the zone, instead of specific nightmare or non-nightmare monsters.
    * AF2 -1 and AF2 armors currently have different drop rates, and the drop rates will be changed so they are the same now.

    That's listed under the "dynamis wide adjustments", so I assume they will drop in regular zones, too.

    Under COP dynamis section, it says that drop locations will remain unchanged.

    For some reason I took the second thing to mean that the monsters won't be moved around.

    My guess would be in regards to the extra drop slot for pup blu dnc etc

    My mule is holding one, but that account is currently inactive due to the stupid billing stuff... guess I have a trophy whether I want it or not ^^;
