MRI came back clean. I had heart failure (NMS) from a medication I was on.

Earlier in the day before the incident I felt like every muscle in my body was sore/pulled. My jaw started to hurt gradually more throughout the day. Doctor prescribed me a 1mg antidote (I forgot the medication name) but it was to counter the Saphris 5mg/day I was on.

Later that night when I went to sleep after taking my medication I woke up and started to have double vision. I didn't think anything about it and tried to go back to sleep. Woke up a few minutes later again and noticed my legs felt like they were stiff as a bored and numb. I tried to massage them, but still couldn't sleep.

Got fed up, tried to get out of bed and noticed my body was becoming more and more stiff, my double vision then evolved like I was looking through a crystal. Fell to the ground, had a seizure induced by the medication.

I came to after that for a few seconds and noticed I was hooked to a heart monitor. Nurses and doctors were trying to have me drink tons of liquids. I seen my pulse idling in the 40s, then it dropped to the 30s, 29, then at 22 I fainted.

Came to the next day in ICU hooked up to an IV & heart monitor, didn't know how I even got there till the nurses told me. I lost most of my memory. I forgot the names of some of my co-workers. Along with little things I used to have memorized like my social/DOB/passwords/etc. Overall it was pretty traumatic, I've never feared death but when you see a machine showing your vitals dropping before your eyes while your laying there stiff & helpless. Shit sucks.

Anyways I'm doing better now, and off the Saphris. Never going near those medications ever again.

I'll more than likely dismantle the bundle if I don't get any offers/neg.

They said my case was minor. First thing they asked me when I woke up was what year is it and who is the president. I said 2011 and Bush (lol). In some cases though it can be severe with prolonged amnesia.

Go to the financial aid dept in the hospital. See if they can help you with that, fuck I wouldnt pay a red cent.

That's unfortunately how insurance works, most people don't have coverage for major medical bills.

Covered for penicilin and physical examinations, but if you almost die, then well, you're on your own buddy

Before you start giving out the money, talk to the hospitals people. I remember some one in a thread mentioning how if you talk to them sometimes they lower the price on things.

Semi-related: I was in the hospital for 3 days uninsured. My bill was the same as yours. I told them I couldn't afford more than 100 a month. Woman told me to sign up for some program for people that can't pay their bills. Fast forward 4 years and I have not paid a dollar and never heard anything after the first time I went in. They never called or sent me a bill. Hasn't been sent to collections, so I don't know who paid for it or what happened.
