Shposhae - Level 15 Dungeon 1.19

I did some exploring to see what kind of place Shposhae would be. It's a nice little dungeon with plenty of R15-19 mobs, 9 coffers, and 3 NM! I made some maps for people who are looking for them. I will gladly update OP for any new information!

There are 4 achievements I found: One for completing the quest "Call of Booty", and three for slaying the NMs inside.




This is compiled from personal knowledge and the posts within this thread. I tried hard to personally confirm each of these drops but there are a couple that I did not check.

Key Drops:

Electrum: inside mythril coffer

It's just a big Cassiopeia-style cave with 2 roaming NMs, 1 condition-pop NM, and a ton of different chests that you need dropped keys for. I don't think anything that is found in the zone is untradable. I think a few of the chests actually need keys found in other chests. Was roaming around there for a while before I went to bed last night and got:

Some Lv.15-20 random crap gear and weapons, Plundered Moccasins, Pirates Bandana, Plundered Rope Belt, Plundered Cavalier's Hat (hot), Plundered Sabatons, Plundered Leather Belt, and a bunch of random shit materials/food from chests.

You can stack up a shitload of one key in your loot pool, then go open the chest, take a key out of loot, open the chest, take key out of loot, etc. You're bound to get the special "plundered" item in no time that way. (Each chest appears to drop 1 plundered item).

Does anyone have a clue about the conditions to get Lone Coeurl to spawn? I have yet to see it, and from the screenshot I have seen, it appears to be in that last, round, empty room with the broken gate leading to it, giant fish bones strewn about (5,4) on the floor with the Steel/Rose Gold chests.

Also, has anyone determined the importance of the giant clams and their Gloom/Shadow/Shade Seekers and Lurkers? The Seekers are seemingly invincible... and if you bring them down to 1 HP, they just "disappear."

EDIT: It appears that Lone Coeurl is either timed (based on the clams' colors?) or based on killing mobs in the immediate area. He was never up for me, until just now when I ran around the floor killing everything and he was up by the time I looped back around to his room. Fucking sweet looking mob. 1st kill, he dropped Coeurl's Eye of course, which appears to be the only untradable item in the zone. So once you get that, there's not a whole lot of reason to be here outside of farming gil-items from chests or if you're looking to exp on the massive amounts of Lv.16~20 mobs.

Leave the non-aggressive fireflies alone and they'll make their way to the clam. Eventually they'll disappear, the clam will glow a different color and a gazillion aggressive fireflies will pop. Rape them with your AoE of choice, wait for a second wave to pop, rinse and repeat until your loot list is full of keys. Go open the chests, and forever live in fear that SE might decide you're abusing a lvl 15 dungeon.

That's the mechanics of the lowest floor anyway.

I am aware, that's how they all are, and that is what I have been doing. To me, that doesn't quite feel like the intended use for those fireflies. Which is why I ask.

Brass: leather mitts, leather leggings
Mythril: leather pot helm
Electrum: elm cane, cotton dalmatica, square ash shield, plundered jacket (not sure, but judging by the pattern)

Copper: leather armguards, leather leggings, voyager's belt
Silver: cotton shepard's slops, ash mask, brass circlet (lapis lazuli)
Gold: brass gladius, iron hoplon, iron labrys, leather jacket, plundered haubergeon

Rose gold: iron spear, ash longbow (I think, going off memory for this one)

The electrum chest odes indeed give the plundered jacket.

I noticed Mioko said the new plundered gear was crap, but how will it fare for someone who's just rerolled and coming back to the game fresh? I have higher level friends that are going to get me some of the NM gear that's int he 20s~30s, but will this be BIS until then, or is it just for aesthetics compared to other craftable gear?

The dungeon is generally a pretty good source for new versions of old items, gotten a couple of decorated copper scepters (level18 now instead of 11 on dated ver) and other weapons and armors.

[NA] Patch 1.19 Hotfixes (Oct. 6)

The amounts of gil and types of items obtainable from treasure chests that appear in Shposhae have been adjusted.
The obtainability of the following items in Shposhae has been adjusted.

Copper Shposhae Coffer Key
Brass Shposhae Coffer Key
Bronze Shposhae Coffer Key
Silver Shposhae Coffer Key
Mythril Shposhae Coffer Key
Steel Shposhae Coffer Key

The following issue has been addressed.

An issue wherein it is possible to inflict certain monsters with status effects that they are normally immune against.

Anyone know what precisely they did? I didn't go there until after the hotfix but at least the drop rates for plundered items is absolutely terrible. Prepare to spend hours getting just the first tier drops. I can't even imagine how bad getting the gold chest items is going to be.

They have to have severely nerfed the drop rate big time... but it needed it. I AoE-one-shot a single mass of Shadow Lurkers and ended up with like 7 keys in my loot pool. Shit was obviously too common.

As far as drop rates go, I'd estimate roughly 3-5% chance to drop either a plundered item or a follow-up key. Assyming the odds for the follow-up chests are similar, those drops are going to be extremely rare.

The plundered gear is pretty good imho. Some of the pieces have stats that are rather hard to get on low-level gear, I think. There are acc feet and the haubergeon has acc and atk for example.

I don't think they're that low. I bet that some people are opening chests with a key already in inventory, which destroys the key if it was a part of the drop (or just doesn't roll you for it, something like that).

Yeah, I'm fairly certain that already holding a Unique item (plundered/keys/etc.) will make it not drop from the chest at all, instead of just going into your loot pool like we're used to.

The other night, I was getting pretty high rates on plundered items. I always would get the item 2nd~3rd open or so. Then the following 15+ opens yielded no plundered stuff.

Just thought I would add to this. Friend was PLing me like a boss there last night and we were spamming steel and ended up with Platypus Duckbills out of it. No Rose Gold though .

Ran into a dude fighting the couerl in there. Not sure what caused it to pop but he got a Couerl's Eye.

Spawns in the back room with the bones on the ground on the dead end map.
