What's your electric bill look like?

Well, I'm pretty certain at this point that my uncle won't be returning to the house.

Assuming, he doesn't owe a lot and it doesn't take a shitload to turn it back on in the first place, after 2 months, finally interested in gettin the power put back on.

Trying to get a ballpark figure to see if I'd be able to afford it though.

    1) How much do you pay on average monthly
    2) How many residents are in your home
    3) What do you usually run in your home?
    4) How often are you running that shit.

The only things I'd ever really need it for would be to power my laptop and my secondary monitor.

The heat/hot water heater is gas, so even if I got the power put back on, it's all gonna be cold shit still, lol.

Maybe run a microwave, not interested in running a fridge/freezer.

Just me and the wifey. The utilities bill usually comes out to $180~240 monthly. We usually always have a TV on, pretty much every electronic is plugged in, the heater/AC always running, and we own a pretty huge home. I would assume it would be stupid cheap for you if all you want to do is plug-in your laptop and microwave. This is in CO.

Edit: Nevermind, company I referred is TX only.

Just find a company with a reasonable price/kWh. Also, make sure the rate is fixed. I have heard variable rate plans can jack up prices when usage is at its peak. (Summer, etc)

If all you use it for is a laptop, it'll cost almost nothing (ie, single digits).

Mine is usually around $225+. ~2100 sq. ft house, computers, tvs, aquariums, etc all plugged in and running most of the time. I also live in Wisconsin so I'm almost always running either the AC or the furnace pretty heavily.

depends on where you are. our bill here in fresno was @$750 a month during the summer, it's about $450 now that it's cooled down. fucking ridiculous, even with the heat lamps for the reptiles. it's about $300 more than the high end electric bills i've had living anywhere else.

    edit, sorry:
    1. $750 - $450
    2. two adults, one child
    3. two computers, tv/ps3, three aquariums w/ tropical fish/turtles, three heat emitters for reptiles, four heat lamps, central heating/cooling
    4. about 12 hours a day, aquariums and heat emitters 24/7

Around $50/mo in spring/autumn, double in summer/winter. Desktop PC and terrarium heaters running 24/7, electric stove, space heaters in winter because gas is a ripoff here. Fuck, I need to move somewhere without seasons.

Me and the wife were around 160$ for Electric and Water ( Fuck CPS and them constantly changing their damn rates, Dimmauk knows ).

Got it down to 96$ this month and prev. month was 110$... now though, the 160$ is during the summer here in Texas ( which is 11 out of 12 months, give or take a month )

I live alone in a smallish one-bedroom apartment.

I keep the air conditioning set at 80 in the summer, and off in the winter, turning the heat on only on the coldest of nights. I run the TV and have my laptop on constantly when I'm home, except when I'm sleeping. My bill ends up being on average, $60/month.

Seeing as you live like 20 miles from me, will probably be the best estimate I'm going to get. Thanks.

be careful, sometimes power companies will bill you based on what they expect you to use, not on what you actually used
