    Selling games

Not sure where else to put this and did t see any other thread for it. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for selling a bunch of used, great condition x360 games. U have a bunch I dot play anymore and could really use some extra cash. Obviously could do GameStop but I'm wondering if I could get more money elsewhere

Unless you have some rare games in there worth more than retail, I think E-Bay or maybe make a local add on craigs list or w/e selling them for more than you'd get from Gamestop but less than retail so people would be inclined to do it, I sold my PS2/PS1 collection to a local store that collects rare games for $4500.

But almost all of them were super tough to find games in perfect condition.

Why not make a thread in the Buy-Sell-Trade forum and throw up what you're looking to sell? You can also try checking the Amazon and Best Buy trade-in values online.

Unless its one of those marginally crappy games no one really seems to ever buy, i don't see why anyone would sell to gamestop etc. you can get a much more fair price selling directly to other people, because its still less than gamestop etc would charge.

The best place I've ever sold is on the Amazon. Sold a bunch of 3DS games for 30 bucks the other day

    Re: Selling games

If you want cash then sell here or ebay, etc. If you just want more bang for your buck, best buy has good prices if you wait for one of those trade in bonus deals. Put 5 downs on a game, made an extra 45 bucks in trade in value. They give me a gift card too, if you buy anything from them.

I sold a few gaming related things on this forum and did some very fair deals. I also managed to sell a ton of stuff on Kijiji for like $3000, but I would reupload the ads every couple of days (a couple minutes work, not a big deal) and it took over a year to sell everything I wanted for a fair price (I wasn't just selling games)

Check the trade-in prices and the used prices from Amazon for stuff in similar condition.

easiest/laziest route to find "fair" prices would be to go into Gamestop with a list of all the games you want to sell and have them write down the trade-in value of each game. Then find out how much they sell a used copy of the games for. Then put your price somewhere in the middle.

Check amazon trade-in values if you can live with giftcards. I traded a ton of DVD and games in there a year ago and made hundreds. The prices fluctuate daily and they used to have daily bonuses on certain things where I actually made $$ on games I bought new from amazon for less than they gave me for tradein.

However, the last few times I checked, they seem to have lowered their values for anything but brand-new items (never opened).

gamestop is obviously a massive ripoff in most cases, especially if you take cash, and i assume the same is true of BB as well. every trade price i've seen advertised on amazon has been similarly laughable

i sold a few things to BG members last year, worked out really well. i priced all my stuff on based on completed ebay transactions and made some adjustments for condition. i'd suggest that, or try throwing them on craigslist (if you're patient; in my experience CL shoppers are all either flakes or lowballing fuckholes that get indignant if you don't agree to pay them to take your stuff. either way they should all be killed, but your mileage may vary)

i felt really bad for one of the buyers though, i didn't do the greatest job of packing and the cases got damaged in transit. sega CD games too, so not exactly that easy to come across anymore :\

Check ebay and amazon for prices, and i'd try to sell here first. There's a limited audience here, but you'd avoid fees, and can usually get fair prices, when someone's interested. If that doesn't work out, try amazon or ebay. Ebay is quick and you can usually get a decent price, but then you're funding ebay, and you're not going to find a site with a higher risk of being scammed, but if nothing is worth a lot, i wouldn't worry too much. Amazon would be the preferred option, if you're not in a hurry. I believe the fees are a bit higher on amazon, but you'll also usually get a bit more there, though you may not sell things as fast as on ebay.

    http://videogames.pricecharting.com/

I used this website, along with looking at the prices of other sellers on Kijiji and cross-referencing with Gamestop's used games prices, to determine fair prices.

For rare games I used another site but I don't seem to have the link right now
