Maybe they can make the controls not suck this time around.
I couldn't even play the last one because the controls were so god awful.
^ Last two posts are CASUALS
If they dumb down the controls hopefully they would make the game more complex somewhere else.
is this the game series where you get the arcade thing that has like 2 joysticks and 40 buttons?

Armored core is the funky controlled mechs
Not much going on in this one since it's a boss fight

there needs to be more games with joysticks and pedals
Fan-freaking-tastic.
I loved AC4A (you can customize the controls fyi) and have been a fan of the series since day one. If they can keep a similar combat system to the last game, but improve the missions and online play, it'll be a fantastic game.
That's Steel Batallion.
Every version of the White Glint fight was epic.
That's Steel Battalion you're thinking of.
The controls were pretty good on the 360 version, just the complexity you'd expect with the maneuverability and versatility of the AC's. Then again, I've played the series since PS1, shoulder buttons for vertical aiming fuck yeah. Even just the dual stick movement/aim is bliss for me.
Man, I need to move into the current gen and get my Armored Core on.
the one on PSP was sort of fun
I cry myself to sleep knowing I missed the masterpiece that is Steel Battalion(in its prime). I wish they would make a next-gen version without any dumbing down.
(I would totally convert my walk-in closet into my own personal mech cockpit. Who needs clothes anyway? I WOULD HAVE A FUCKING ROBOT ROOM)
I actually liked the dual switching set-up from AC4A, no more cycling through 3-4 weapons to find the one you want, pressing the button one too many times then having to cycle through them again. Though I will admit I didn't use any of the pre-designed control settings from that game and ended up making my own. I tried the good ol' "should-buttons-to-look-up" style for a bit but the dual analogue worked much better for me. With the way I had it set up I could let both weapons as well as my shoulder attachments fire off at the same time making it real easy to bring a lot of firepower down on someone real fast.
Controls sucked for until AC4, then it became less sucky and more enjoyable. That said, I still played the shit out of AC2 and 3, and somewhat 4.
who needs controls when you have your fancy microchips and AI adjustments
Still play 4 answer online at least 3 times a week. Hoping this one blows it away -- I'd like to see an actual online following outside of a handful of Japanese.
I too played the shit out of AC2 3 and Silent Line but for some reason I sucked ass when i plaed AC4-answer. Not sure why, maybe it was the controls, maybe it was some kind of difficulty curve, but I ended up trading the game inBarely clocked 3 hours on the game too, so maybe 5 can get more serious playtime out of me
