Jailbreak ipod touch 4g

Found an ipod touch 4g super cheap on craigslist gonna snag it and sell my 2g for the same price (which is the going rate for 2gs)

That being said, I've never jailbroken an Ipod before. What's the best way to go about it (many diff methods from google) and what version should i be jailbreaking to (which firmware) etc.

Anything else important that I should know (and lol what exactly does jailbreaking allow me to do? I was told I could get ffv for free)

Yea it's the latest version. Decided not to buy it, but then again, it's still cheap as fuck and the same price as my 2g, so if I find another one later, can always sell this one and buy that. Still getting an upgrade i suppose. Unless jailbreaking the 2g is worth it? Free games and shit, no?

2g don't support iOS 4 I think so cant run games wih iOS 4 or + req
