There's no way I could leave the country. Nowhere near enough money and zero transferable career skills or viable education.

It's a ridiculous position to be in. I do plan to move somewhere better at the end of next year but the concept that I need to go through an enormous life upheaval and likely reduce my QoL by a significant amount just to avoid this stuff (as much as possible) is horribly depressing.

Early Post-Mordems are coming in and by far the biggest red flag so far seems to be that Harris has almost 15 million less votes than Biden got in 2020, whereas Trump remained the same. So...almost 1 in 5 people that wanted Biden didn't want Kamala to the point they didn't even vote for anybody. The Both Sides(tm) people won this election. Something tells me they aren't going to be any happier in the next 4 years, though.

Dems have gotta change but I just have no idea what. The whole point of politics is you give and take, but it really feels like present days media is just this entire machine that massively highlights anything the Dems give and bury anything they get. Meanwhile republicans just do the same old thing and get massively rewarded for it every other election, no matter how bad they do. They've cracked the code.

Hate to doom post, but it really feels like the modern liberal movement is dead. The entire next generation is just going to be spent clawing back rights that were gimmes for the last generation and learning about new and exciting rights we get to lose!
