The manga is alot better than the show. This is marketed to anime and manga fans in Japan, not fans of the Cartoon Network version.

Even the front cover looks bad with Luffy on it, Naruto and Goku are actually drawn nicely. But then there's Luffy, with his big vacant eyes, like a fucking Goobbue.
