Only know like 3 people with this badge, I'm out of tags for now, but here's a topic for info on the few of us who do do them as the time comes.

Help me I'm a blind child, but I couldn't find the Corporal quest in the other thread.
I don't know any Corporals.
My assault static decided to say screw it today so I just got my 4th tag ._.
I blame Kermit the frog for not picking up a tag before he hit 3.
It is incredibly easy, find warhorse footprints, put in key item, go back to Naja. Exactly like the rank up to SP.Originally Posted by BRP

There are other options, but the damage difference and delay difference are at max 1-2 with higher delay. It is a ridiculously good gun for level 60. For comparison sake, most cor's use Matchlock/+1 from 56 to around 72, and its stats are (Matchlock Gun/+1 level56 damage:36/37 delay:600/582). The +1 is not common, and not cheap.
Leujaoam Sanctum: Counting Sheep
15 minute limit.
There are 4 Qiqirn NPCs - a miner, a harvester, a gambler, and a shephard (don't remember their names, but it's pretty easy to figure out).
The miner will give you a pickaxe ... you go mining, and he will give you a goldpiece for every gold ore you bring back, a silverpiece for every silver ore, and a bronzepiece for every copper ore (I think) ... there may be lesser stuff you can turn in as well.
The harvester will give you a sickle and will give you coins for the stuff you bring back too. We had much better results with mining than with harvesting, so we didn't spend much time with him.
The gambler is used to convert lesser currency up to goldpieces. He won't do anything for you if you already have a goldpiece in your inventory, but I think you can bet 2 silverpieces for a chance for a goldpiece, or something of that sort.
The shepherd will allow you to buy the sheep. I think if you have enough currency (I believe at least 1 goldpiece) he will ask you to go show him the sheep you want ... there are sheep NPCs in the zone somewhere.
Anyway, somehow a member of our group accidently ended it after one sheep. It's another one of those ... you only have to get one sheep to win, but the more sheep you get the more points you get ... we got like 525 points non-leader with first-time bonus for getting 1 sheep.
Take everything I said with a grain of salt ... it was a really strange Assault, and we really had no idea what we were doing. But we won >.>
Just did Mamool. You'll enter a room and all around you'll see a lot of quirin NPCs (and they're not just in that room, it seems like they cover the whole map). Talk to them and question them about the spy. They'll give you a hint as to where he is. When you talk to the actual spy, he *should* act really nervous - just click the option to capture him and you win! @_@
Those both sound really cool tbh. Like weird but in a "theyre putting some thought into this shit" sort of way.
Is it just me or are the assaults ever since SP getting extremely easier. I Quadro'd all of the LC 1's except Ilrusi Atol, went with 6 for that 1, and it was incredibly easy.
Mamool Ja Training Grounds : The Double Agent
My set managed to win this one before we even figured out how it worked, so we never got a chance to work out the details. You need to find a double agent Qiqirn NPC among numerous regular Qiqirn Spy NPCs.
When you enter, there are many Spy Qiqirn NPCs walking around the entire map with a few Puks around to make it difficult to talk to the NPCs. When you talk to a Qiqirn, you get two choices, capture them or ask them for info. Asking for info usually results in being a give a vague place to check for the double agent like simply east or near here. I guess once you get in the area where you think you need to be you can attempt to capture Qiqirns until you find the right one. The person in my set who found it seemed to be randomly choosing the capture option and managed to find it.
Since you are given 30 minutes to beat this one and there are only around 10 Qiqirns and 3-4 Puks in the first area, I assume my set got very lucky with the double agent getting placed there. We managed to win in around 5 minutes without even exploring the other areas to see how many other NPCs were around.
One thing that did make me wonder is the the mission description which is: There is a double agent among the Imperial Qiqirn spies in the Mamool Ja Training Grounds. Find him before he puts the other spies in danger. This is entirely speculation maybe if you take too long to find the spy, he can get the Puks in the area to attack the other Qiqirn NPCs.
As for this being like the other Assaults where how many points you get depends on how well you do, I'd have to say this one isn't like that unless the other Qiqirn NPCs can be killed by enemies. Once you find the Double Agent, there's nothing else to do since the other spy NPCs do not talk to you anymore.
The sheep one was the weirdest assault I've ever done. One of our guy managed to find some random sheep somewhere and somehow we won since the shepherd was following him or something. Absolutely no idea what that one is all about.
We have 4 tags to use tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some more info regarding the other ones soon.
Sounds like the beginning to a tacky joke. Half-expected them to all walk into a bar.Originally Posted by Sykes
Lebros is like, wtf do you have to do? We spent 30 mins running around killing trolls, looking through tunnels, never even figured out what to do.
just did the sheep one, we managed to get 4 sheep or so and the reward was 1,399 assault points without armband...
we did the double agent one... couldn't figure out which one it was so just started to randomly capture them all... only 480 points without armband... i think the more you capture incorrectly the lower your assault points get.
For Lebros:
30 Minutes
This map:

There is a big room in the center filled with Old Trolls (con Impossible to Gauge, but they're not that difficult), and some tunnels on the outside. The NM that you are supposed to capture (?) is not up at the beginning. We killed some Old Trolls, and they repop in 1-2 minutes (read: really fast), and they seem to always repop on top of you when you are fighting (we pulled some trolls in to a tunnel where there were none there before, and they started repopping on top of us). We didn't make any progress ... at first we thought that the NM might be lottery from the Old Trolls, but we saw no sign of him. We think he may pop only when linked in the tunnels (Shikigami Weapon style kind of), but we didn't have time to test it.
Periqia:
15 Minutes
You start on this map:
http://www.ffxi-atlas.com/maps_normal2/ ... iqia_8.jpg
... at H-6 like the very first Periqia assault; however, the path south is blocked so you have to go north, which leads to this map ...
http://www.ffxi-atlas.com/maps_normal2/ ... iqia_7.jpg
(I think it is the same one from Saving Private Ryaaf)
There are NPC-type Lamias that roam around the hallways, and they "aggro" sight. If you are sighted, you get warped back to start.
There are 4 Bridge Switches that must be activated; however, once they are active, they never go out, so you don't have to worry about keeping someone at the switches. The switches are located at F-8, H-6, J-8, and H-10 on the second map. Once all 4 are active, the mission is complete, and the Rune of Release is located in the center at H-8. Be warned, however, that the center room is probably the most difficult room to get to, so you're not automatically clear as soon as you get the switches done (I recommend sending someone to the rune from the beginning).
This one isn't too difficult if you know what you're doing; we just pissed away several minutes at the start not knowing what to do, and ran out of time trying to get to the rune.
I have no idea either...Originally Posted by zymurgy

I think you just kill everything and one of them is the right one, but there was no obvious clue to me what it was.
There is another one where you have to escort quirin.. another wtf?
Each person talks to a quirin and it follows you.. there are no attackable mobs in the zone but little NPC fish things that the quirin are afraid and freak out and run away if they see it. You just need to escort one across the way to win.. I would suggest going ninja at nighttime or having flee to catch up to them when they run.
I don't think its possible to loose any of the Corporal assaults, but some of them may be good for getting points. Many of them see to give more points for perfect compleatly as opposed to just winning. The lebros cavern one is defiently better for points than Excavation Duty because 3 people could win that 100% of the time and not loose because of bad luck.
