    CGF crafters

Is anybody else witnessing chinese RMT's completely nuking their craft? I'm currently dappling in cooking, and there is one character on my server, "Beibei" who is constantly undercutting everything. By fucking loads. Example: Sole Sushi; 5 stacks on AH. Usually there are about 80. Price has been pumped up to 35k. This RMT player puts up all his stacks for 28k. WHAT'S THE POINT? It's very infuriating to see gilsellers ruining yet another avenue for money making for actual players. Fuck them, it would be more likely for RMT to end by America nuking the fuck out of China than it would be for SE to lift a finger and ban the gilsellers.

    I'm gonna go prank a Chinese take-out.

Multiple consumable items and even common desynthesis end-products are flooded to near nil-profit margin or loss on Alexander.

Sylz has been making sushi 24/7 for months and was joined by others later on.

That used to be my money cow. After getting poor recently, decided to go back there for a week or so after leaving it untouched for a good 2-3 months...

Needless I didn't bother staying there for a week as planned. I lasted 3 hour and I left pissed off. Whenever someone else comes along, they stop killing all orcs and only pick off troopers you pop while busy killing PHs. They only started killing PHs again after I left for a small break, came back, and saw em stop killing again.

It seems RMT have gone through the top 20 most sold items on the AH and made them low profit per sale but are now selling 90% of them. I.e. silent oils, sushi, ninja tools.

If Beibei is on sylph then its a genuine player though

The profits in crafting are dwindling little by little, at least I see it on the once high lvl tier 11 and tier 31 items.

All gsellers need to do is piss off enough people to force them to RMT sites. They don't have to profit, much. They don't have to do anything other than drive you out of once profitable markets.

They took over sky, they're in sea, they're at NM's and Kings, and the one sector they couldn't control for so long was crafting. Since they can't take crafting over, thier objective of bombarding the shit out of prices still accomplishes that goal.

If they can eliminate the profit from crafting, and still monopolize all other sectors, where will some/many people turn for gil out of frustration? I think that's their goal. Ironically most FFXI sites are RMT owned or sponsored, it's for a reason. RMT has a larger handle on this game the SE would like us to believe.

Seeing that im not a crafter, this is a good thing for me. Seeing that most people buy food from AH rather then making it, is a good thing for them. It only hurts you.

I have never encountered RMT hiking up prices. They are always undercutting. Perhaps you are confusing inflation due to gilbuying with price gouging due to gilsellers wanting to sell their stuff asap.

No.. they undercut because they want you to quit crafting, and have to buy gil from them as a result.

Thier goal is to utterly ruin any way of making gil outside of thier control.

Which.. luckily is nearly an impossible goal.. but that's what they are doing.

I thought that was assumed that RMT and gilbuying go hand and hand. Christmas everyone complained how RMT had contributed to the inflated prices. Without RMT and gilbuying, those prices would have never risin.

Now RMT have thier hand in undercutting massivly. Does this suck for crafters? Yes ofcourse, but it's only better in the long run; it will even itself out in the end. Well, even if the ingeds stay at a higher rpice, then its only good for buyers.

The difference is that RMT doesn't directly raise prices. They will undercut you all day long.

Prices were massive around Christmas because players drove up the prices. I would list 3 Prism Capes at 5.1m and all three would sell for 6m, people just didn't give a shit.

RMT crafters are insane, if there is RMT in your market you're just fucked...plain and simple. They will HQ all day long with wait0 crafting and AH bots and sell the results at a loss (slight loss, but still fucks you in the end.)

Yes ofcourse, but it's only better in the long run; it will even itself out in the end.
I don't know how you can come to the conclusion that it will "even itself out in the end".

Yes, indirectly, but they still played a part in it. If it wernt for RMT, people wouldnt of bought items at such crazy prices.

I have no clue on these prices, these are just made up for an example:

    Sole sushi:
Tarutaru Rice, Rice Vinegar, Black Sole, Distilled Water and Ground Wasabi yes?

Its sold for 80k at AH, and lets say the crafter makes a 10k profit. So now RMT have lowered the prices and crafters arnt getting any profit, in fact theyre losing money. So now their A) not crafting this at all any more, or B) their hopeing for a HQ.

So its unfair atm, but the ingreds wont stay at those prices for long, they as with the product itself will fall in price. They will fall till crafters can break even or gain a bit of profit.

Crafters arnt usually going to waste their own money so they can help supply the AH, the only time this is done is in hopes of a HQ (lolamemet). Since no one is buying the ingreds to make the product, the prices for the ingred will fall. Thats how it is evened out, and it is better for the buyer since its like 50k cheaper.
