Exactly the same as you, the only time I got claim was the week before the last big update when I spent 5 days in a row camping it; 3 of which I didn't sleep. Working those days were a bitch but I did it hoping that I would see the drop. I've since given up and decided that my gimpy Selene's Bow is good enough for me since I'm really never going to use bows once I hit 75 with my Hellfire+1 and OBow as my main weapons.

I went as a TH4 bitch to this for a friend countless times over the course of a couple months, it almost became an obsession for him. He never got the damn thing and gave up out of frustration. Besides the fact that he never got the drop not many people camped against him.

I can't understand why the drop rate is still so horribly low; there is no point to it other than to make it a massive timesink and to keep the value of EBow high. I had one night I spent 17 consecutive hours there before it popped. I really wish I would've spent all those days camping ES farming kindred seals or something more worthwhile. Instead I ended up with half a stack of revival roots and a bad attitude.

The 2nd night I ever camped it he popped at 32 hours on the dot. :/ More often than not I've had him spawn at or around the 18 and 21 hour mark.

The drop rate is pretty good on this thing. I was 1/1 after someone told me the ToD. Went down there for 2 hours or so and it popped. I was on RDM/BLU so no TH. The bow dropped two days in a row before I got my drop as well.

In my case for camping it on 5 consecutive pops,
The pop time mark goes like this:
18 hours
23 hours
19 hours
24 hours
18 hours
23 hours

You would think they would ease up a bit on the drop rate and/or spawn time since it's a level 55 f'ing bow. Either that or make an even better bow that is like lvl 70-75 and make that one hard almost impossible to get. I'm 0/3 since the update and I just don't have the patience to spend 20+ hours a week for several weeks to get it.

Was down there since the last maint for Western.

First window he popped at 7 hours I think, I had to afk and run an errand that just couldn't wait anymore, I know the guy who got it, the bastard went 1/1 on Retaliators.

Went down for the next window, didn't pop after 8 hours down there, had to leave again.

Judged from when the other campers came back when the next window would have been, camped the first possible window (assuming he had somehow popped under my nose and gotten killed when I blinked) and he didn't show, stayed AFK around til the others showed back up, camped 15 hours straight... nothing.

I'd rather just buy the damn things, that is the most frustratingly retarded pop timer Ive ever seen.

Also, about the mobs linking, as I understand, they link when the window is open, and it seems like the ones in the opposite room remain linking after their NM is killed til the opposite side dies.

Eastern shadows don't link... they start linking at 3:00 or whatever, he pops at 5:10, western doesn't start linking until 4:30, while his window is still open, Easterns keep linking.

At the 6 hour mark, they stopped linking again, which was odd, but having been there and personally killed or saw every single PH die, I know I didn't miss him, so stayed for another 7 hours before I went to sleep.

Another thing I was told by a camper was killing the non-PH mob adds "penalty" time to the pop, pushing it back.

That sounded weird, but I could see something like if the PH dies while the non PH is dead, it won't pop til the next PH.

I had an alt parked there after an update and there were a dozen people there killing everything in sight so if killing a non PH makes ES not pop the next window he never would've spawned.

Yeah, it's hard to see how it would work.

I could see it like charybdis, where if the outside PH doesn't show, he won't.

So maybe if the PH dies and the other isn't up, it waits til next PH or something.

The linking thing is pretty weird though, I've yet to read about it anywhere but it's a pretty clear thing that they start linking for 6 hours and then stop, same size as the window.

I've noticed the random linking too. You're saying that for the first 6 hours of window they link?

Shadows in that room only link to BLM type shadows(i.e. if other type of shadow is pulled and BLM is there, BLM will link and if BLM shadow is pulled and other shadow is there, the other shadow with link) That's the only case I can think of

As for the shadows linking, its weird. If you pull a blm mob from the other room, the shadows in the Eastern shadow will link. Any other shadow pulled, they won't link.
