    Enemy TP gain formula

    I'm having a big argument with an LS mate of mine over enemy TP gain.

    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/TP

    Is the Wiki entry generally correct? Say, assuming my Scythe gives me about 14 TP returned, the enemy will get about 17 TP back? (Assuming no Store TP or Subtle Blow)

    He doesn't trust me, but I'm sure he'll trust general consensus on this forum lol

    Using BST or /BST and a job that has Stoneskin: hit something, note your TP gain, charm it, and type <pettp>.

    You now know how much mobs gain from you hitting one.

    That sounds about right its why mobs tp faster if you hit them as opposed to them hitting you. Something all blue mages should know in experience

    Apple Pie worked out that formula a few years back. The guy was pretty sharp and worked out a lot of the FFXI maths, should be correct.

    It's a wiki. If you can prove they're wrong, don't bitch, fix it.

    I already did >.> The Fast Cast one is showing up as the Spanish version though, so that's a little bit more complicated.

    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Fast_Cast

    I just checked, it is in Spanish.

    * Descripción en el Juego: Hace más rápido el lanzamiento de hechizos.
    * Los Rasgos de Trabajo están siempre activos.
    * Otras Notas:
    o Reduces ambos, el Tiempo de Lazamiento y el Tiempor de Relanzamiento de los hechizos.
    o Los porcientos en la lista son la reducción in Tiempo de Relanzamiento; duplicalos para obtenerla reducción en el Tiempo de Lanzamiento.
    o El Tiempo de Relanzamiento no puede ser reducido más de 50%.
    Strange.

    Coming up English for me.

    Fast Cast
    From FFXIclopedia
    Jump to: navigation, search
    [edit] Job Trait Overview

    * Game Description: Quickens spellcasting.
    * Job Traits are always active.
    * Further Notes:
    o Reduces both the Casting Time and the Recast Time of the spell.
    o The listed percentages are the reduction in Recast Time; double them to get the Casting Time reductions.
    o Recast Time can be reduced by no more than 50%.

    etc...

    Very odd indeed.

    Shrunk, but you still get the gist.

    I think it's pretty disingenuous to credit Apple Pie with all the work that went into that. Especially enemy TP gain, which was largely researched independently of Apple Pie's work.

    Every person I know who levels BLU says the exact same thing to me, every time, as well as a bunch of people who I've never talked to before. Kinda getting old, lol. Only one who doesnt want to try is Nemrott, and he's probably the best ballista BLU on our server >_>

    My mistake then. Didn't actually read the research, just went by what someone else said in some post I read years ago on the FFXIOnline forums.
