    Baha V2

Hi~ my LS are planning of doing Baha V2 soon. We want to zerg it. We have enough people/gear/ridills/kcs to do it hopefully.

I was just wondering, what are good strats for it? How many stuns(normal or chainspell stuns) will we need?

Thanks for any info you can give.

Here's the strat I normally use for Bv2.

Step 1) Push the search button.

Step 2) Type in "Bahamut v2 meleeburn"

Step 3) Click the threads that appear.

Step 4) Chainspell stun and don't let Gigaflare go off.

We sometimes use 2 chainspell stunners but 1 is fine and is probably better if they're good at it.

Did you even try to search before you posted? Moved to newbie to avoid posts like mine from being the only response you'll receive, please stick to real strats and helpfull info.

FYI, you dont need Ridill wars/KC drks to melee burn him. Hell you can arrow burn v2 with enough rangers.

Please stick to just one chainspell stunner. It's actually better that way.

    Re: Baha V2

My linkshell uses 2 chainspell stunners. Lots of DRK's with 2 hour always helps, too. Also consider using BRD 2 hour songs at start with at least one bard swap. And, most important, make sure you have some good bards to Finale Bahamut's Phalanx. Otherwise you'll have a whole lot harder of a time killing.

    Good luck.

one stunner, fight should not even last the duration of chainspell. use appropriate filters to keep it stunned the whole time, don't just mash stun.

    Re: Baha V2

Done this many times w/o KC DRKs or Ridill WARs. Basically need to just stack the deck with heavy DDs plus a few key jobs.

    1 - THF with Feint
    1 - DRG with Angon
    1or2 - RDM/DRK
    3 - BRDs
    11 - Heavy DD

THF and DRG are optional but they make it sooooooo much faster and safer. Our record is ~15 second kill, but that was with a bunch of SAMs while 2 handers were still broken. Normally see 30-60 second kills.

Job priority for DDs should be (and this is my opinion):
    -KC DRK
    -WAR/NIN
    -SAM/THF
    -MNK/WAR
Previous poster mentioned RNG, but since we've never used RNG before I don't know where they would fit in.

    Equip:
    -1 Icarus Wing per DD.
    -Opo-opo Necklace.
-4 to 12 Sleep pots per DD.
    -1 poison pot per person.

    How:
    1. Enter, put on equip, buff, and sleep TP.
    2. (If MNK(s) present) Start boosts.
    3. On 5th or 6th boost BRDs use Soul Voice and sing Minuet III and IV. (MNKs should only need 9-10 boosts to reach 999 attack if they are in TP gear).
    4. BRDs drop and change parties (arrange who going where first) and sing March x2.
    5. Use poison pots (incase Vytra pops and sleepgas).
    6. THF PD, run in, and Feint Bahamut.
    7. BRDs Finale Bahamut.
    8. MNKs Chi Blast.
    9. RDM(s) Chainspell and start to stun (we time it so they start the stuns when Bahamut ~90%, which will happen quickly as DDs pop off initial WSs).
    10. DRG Angon Bahamut.
    11. DDs run in and go through their appropiate Spike Damage routines.
    12. Add(s) should pop at some point, BRDs should pull and run them away from allience.
    13. Bath in the blood of a terrestial avatar, and do your victory dance!

Note: 7 thru 10 should pretty much happen at the same time.

I think I hit all the main points. Have fun!

    EDIT: Added note.

THF is not optional. I know I am normally one of the first people to say that TH is a placebo, but this is a fight where you notice Treasure Hunter working. Go with out it and more often than not your loot pool is going to be very, very sad.

Sidenote: If your SAMs are /THF for this, you're doing it wrong.

If your going for gil drops yeah. But the fight has 2 gear drops no more no less, just varies as to which it is. But then cashmere thread/cloth isn't 100% I think just highly likely. At least were 100% on at least one of them dropping.

I can't imagine doing this without THF I guess. Did it once with a DRG who was there for the first time and he never Angoned. Was waiting for someone to tell him to use it...

Yeah I haven't paid a lot attention to SAM sub, I go MNK/WAR. They prolly are subbing WAR.

    Re: Baha V2

1 pimped out kraken dark + Feint + 1 CS stunner + some bards....rest is kinda who cares, as long as they offer some damage output, even if its 2k per dd the dark will carry you, his HP is so low 25k only..

I agree with the 1 RDM/DRK CS Stun sentiments, wait for wear off message, his moves take a bit of time to ready and shouldn't get off...although it might be handy to have another RDM around to spam dispel at start, in addition to whatever bards doing finale.

Looks good, for the rangers they fit in just like any other DD does.

Decent equipped ones will not do under 1500 Sidewinders/slugshots..... Well equipped rangers will easily do over 2k sidewinders.

    Re: Baha V2

Yeah. THF I wouldn't consider optional, Feint is so damn useful in that fight.

Also, I've rarely had trouble killing Bahamut, and we've never screwed with doing the Opo-opo necklace sleep-tp thing. I'd consider that optional. The only thing that'll make or break the fight is your ability to dispel phalanx, so make sure your bards know to spam finale once they engage.

    Re: Baha V2

Yeah, we used to sleep TP at the beginning but that just made a 25 second fight a 15 second fight, no need to sleep TP. And yeah, don't do it without a THF if you want any money drops.

Yeah. My LS goes in with 2 RDM/DRK, but only one of them chain-stuns. The other watches his/her log and solely attempts to Stun Bahamut's flares. I don't think we've ever had any issues doing it that way, while when we first started (either with only one stunner, or two, both chain-stunning) we had flare issues.

Only problem we had was the one time Bahamut got his Petra move off on us at the start...sitting there for 15-20 seconds with no stun coverage was making me sweat bullets. Ate most of our DRK's 2 hour.

Our ls also runs our tank in first to eat dispelga, because 50% of the time that's his first move
