Macro Question

I was told that it is possible to move all of your current macro's to other pc/char without typing those long ass lines of text again is this true? And if so how is it possible.

It's in a folder someone will tell you soonish. I am not at my pc so I dunno which it is... I think user or something...

Ok I've never messed with .dats or anything in ffxi is it a pain in the ass or just a easy method? I'm never on pc alot usually ps3/360 etc.

The folder is relatively easy to get to..

\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER

In that folder is a generated folder for each character. copy all those (they contain your settings and macros). Paste them into the PC you're moving to (same location they were copied from). It shouldn't overwrite any other characters settings as the folder name is generated by the content ID.

If you want to copy macro sets from 1 char to another, enter the folder for that character and copy/paste it into the folder of the character you're moving it to.

ie. copy from \PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER\x1234\ to \PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER\x1235\

You can also just copy 1 macro set if that is all you need, you can find which one by opening the .mcr files in wordpad.
