Super Mario Galaxy In Stores

Heads up!

The 'demo' versions of Super Mario Galaxy in most Gamestop / EBGames is actually the full version of the game.. found out today :D While I wouldn't recommend going in with a video camera (emails went out warning against this, please don't do it) if you fancy taking a look at the game, head on it and try it out. Its super ubar sweet.

Who all thinking of getting? Having a Wii just gets sweeter and sweeter... heh. That + Brawl in February will be ossim

It installs an update right when you insert it, so I wouldn't doubt you can't burn it / run it in a modded device. Beaten the first observatory so far.

so does SPM, metroid, and a lot of others. If you install the update before you put the disk in, they all work fine. Just cant run them on different region consoles.

I don't see why so many people are eager to pirate a Mario game. You want more mario games, right? Then buy the damn game.

This game looks great. Good thing they pushed back Brawl's release date, because Galaxy was going to be the only game I'll be playing for awhile, next to WotG.

Because apparently Nintendo is too fucking lazy to make demo discs anymore. All the games that they have sent out to stores(except Zelda oddly enough) for the interactives have been the retail versions: Big Brain Academy, Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime, Mario Galaxy.

I think it's hillarious they told us to "take preventive measures" from allowing people to play too far into the game and to erase all saved games at close every night. Here's an idea: how about Nintendo put a reset timer into the system or make it a demo instead of the whole game. I tried playing it on my break the other day but I spent the entire time going through the opening cutscenes because I had to start from the begining. lol

I have a few opens this week... even though people normally don't come in to open til 9.30 or 9.45 we are scheduled to start at 9.00... Gonna take every opportunity to come in on time, get stuff done, and have 20 mins to chill on that maybe

Just to reiterate, the console wars thread is for debate between the systems, as well as random news, etc. Its also where all "bashing" of a system should be.

Whenever there is a new game, or some gigantic industry news, a new thread is fine, just keep any "would've been betta on 360 nub" type comments in the war thread.

I wouldn't recommend playing games while on the clock, THAT is grounds for dismissal.

They are to the point now where they are no longer a 'fun' company to work for. When I worked at one 6 years ago it was awesome and I was happy to be there. When I quit a year ago I couldn't wait to get out.
