Phanduron the Condemned

Hello everyone, nice to meet you. I play of the Fairy server but frequently read your website as it is filled with quite alot of info. Anyway, I've been camping Phanduron the Condemned for quite some time, about seven months actually. I'm this NM has the wrost drop rate ever, honetly Bune drops more. Anyway, I still haven't figured out his pop conditions. If anyone has any info on him, I'd greatly appericate it.

Ummm if he's one of the two Twins, he's a 72 hour pop. Just like the Bloodbead Ring dropper.

ty, I'll be sure to double check, but if hes a forced spawn, then I'm pretty sure its longer then 72 hrs. I thought that too, but I went back 69 hrs prior to last tod and they didn't spawn for the 5 hours I was down there.

He is a 72 hour pop, I've killed him about 5-6 times for the Ascalon, The drop rate is really rare but I just write the ToD down and he pops 72 hours later, I just go into the enterance as RNG/WHM to sneak myself and use Wide-Scan to see if he's up, much easier. He's a pain to get the drop, but in the end it's worth it.

Our LS went after him and we got the drop in the first kill. <3 love the ascalon, it comes in handy on certain fights.

It pops in San d'Orias sewer. That's all I know, never camped it.

Just a few questions about this NM;

1) Does it pop 21-24 hours after a maint then 72 hours thereafter?

2) Is it possible to pull in any way without linking?

3) Can either one be slept?

I can't really figure out if Ascalon is good or not. Nice stat boosts and really low delay but the damage is quite horrible. Looking like a Nagan is instant win though.

3) It cant be slept..but if you pull 1, it's a freakin joke

if you put a nin on each of them and have a healer you can trio them. the blm one's two hour gets nasty if he decides to spam -ga spells.

Well you guys are right, but its a 72 hr wait, but its 72 hrs from the tod of the second nm. You have to kill them both to start the respawn cycle. They can be pulled seperatly with smn pull.

Killed as NIN, BLM, BRD with relative ease surprisingly. No Ascalon or Flagelents Crossbow but we got the Shadow Mask (100% drop?), ToD and experience of killing him. Immunity to stun was a bit of a shock but his spells are a bit weak and the area you kill him in really isn't that bad for potential blood agro.

I wish. Ive killed both with only Dark Crystal drops. I've seen the crossbow drop twice, never seen the G.Sword.

I was expecting to have to kill these for about a month before getting Ascalon what with all the horrid stories I've heard about it's drop rate. To have him put out on the second kill was pretty nice as was Drexion dropping everything too. All three of us found this pretty odd as well;

And as a sidenote, I think I should say sorry for bumping this? Sucks it got booted to FFXI Talk after the boards got compressed.
