Ok, so quick backstory...A few years ago, I was playing basketball, on asphalt. I had a 250lb dude fall on my ankle going for a loose ball. I slightly fractured one of the bones in my foot, and the doc just gave me an orthopedic shoe. My foot hasn't been right ever since. It hadn't really hurt when I walked onit, or even ran on it. Ever since then, when I cut hard on it, and put immense pressure, it will hurt for a few seconds, then be alright. I run almost everyday during the warmer months, and everything had always been bearable.
Yesterday I ran the first run of the season. Went about four miles. While running, I didn't experience much pain. Seemingly no more than usual. A few hours later however, I had a horrible fucking pain where the black circle is. The red is the initial scarring from the basketball accident. Ever since last night, when I put any pressure on the outer portion of my foot, just before the heel (like where the black circle is, cept on the bottom of the foot, like the outer arch), It's unbearable. I went for a walk in the park today with my kid and dogs. After about 10 steps I was noticeably hobbling as not to put pressure there. I can walk on my tip toes and it doesn't hurt at all. Normal walking is excruciating after a few steps. I begin to hobble to take pressure off. What the fuck is wrong? If it's any help, the shoes I run in are Nike Free 5.0s. Ive always ran in them.
