I know theres alot of weird stuff in the .dats (like ending credits for FFXI in game). But why is there a EQ II icon for POL usage?

pol had big plans when it first started, but turned into a lot of nothing. maybe they had plans to also annoy eq2 players with 2~minutes of button mashing?![]()
I recall reading something back in 2005 about a project in the pipes to allow characters to be moved back and forth between FFXI, WOW and EQ2. Perhaps this is an artifact of that (ill fated?) project?![]()
I see, thank you.
Some time ago, SE was the official Provider of EQII in Japan (ie. Japanese EQII players had to access the game via POL and probably were billed via it, too). Apparently it didn't proof profitable for them, so they gave it back to Sony.

LOL Inter-MMO character movement... i doubt that is possible and may i ask where you heard that? xDOriginally Posted by ringthree
But yeah Ringthree is rightSE wanted to make POL the main portal for a bunch of games, from that pic looks like (from left to right going down) FFXI, Tetra Master Fantasy Earth, Some puzzle game?, EQ2, Front Mission Online and not sure about this one...
SO yeah they wanted a MMO Portal and i believe the ability to talk in between games, so you could "lol" at your friends playing EQ2 while you play FFXI xD (or the pther way around =/)
Somone has forgotten to renew thier subscription to Tetra Master!-.-; Where do people get these ideas?Originally Posted by ringthree

On another note, If you did pay the fee would it even be possible to get a match, would there be even 1 other person on the server that you could play together with?
This was an April Fool's joke on ZAM.Originally Posted by Tankjr

If SE had integrated into XI somehow then it would have been awesome(or if they had chosen a GOOD card game like Triple Triad).
The other two are for a Mahjong game and Dirge of Cerberus (online play discontinued).
the EQ2 icon was so you could order a pizza while playing FFXI AT THE SAME TIME
I remember that promotion back in the day lol...Originally Posted by KuaiEQ
