Porrogo Madame Broken ? (no chat log entry for chorus)

Sorry this probably doesn't deserve its own thread but if it is only a temporary issue I didn't want to post in the main thread.

We just finished a run in Zhy and killed 5th floor madame. During the fight it got off 5 charmga's. It was able to use them instantly after a previous charm and when it did so there was no chat log entry, preventing any real chance of stun.

Has anyone witnessed anything like this or was it just lag for our group?

I've never had this issue before the last update.

I think if you have "effects taken on party members" or something filtered, it filters Chorus... A couple of weeks ago I really cutdown on filters, so I could Shoulder Tackle stun Chorus, and wound up getting no text for it...

I don't know how the patch changed chat filters (for instance I would hope that they broadened "foes" to included reddish-purple enemies but I haven't tested it yet). But pre-patch "effects" didn't matter. You would see the "readies" and "starts casting" dialog for any offensive spell or TP move targetted on anyone in your alliance with "Special actions started on/by self/party/allies/foes" turned off, as well as any self-buff or self-curative spell or TP move for any enemy for which the last action taken on it was by someone in your own party (red-named).

My guess is if this is anything, this is either a glitch caused by, or a side-effect of, any chat filter changes associated with the new "reddish-purple" enemy name.

You probably had your filters set wrong... lol
When you say it was able to use it instantly after a previous charm do you mean you stunned it and then it followed up with the same WS? This is normal mob behavior.

By the instant charm thing, I'm used to having 2 mnks on a frog so we haven't seen it cast chorus directly after we uncharm. Is this just the affect of less subtle blow then

I remember getting this same problem at the last 5th floor madame I fought. Came on DNC and hoped to attempt stunning Frog Chorus, but whenever we got charmed, it had no text telling me anything about Frog Chorus, I was just suddenly charmed and then showed the chat lag for me being hit with the charm effect. Current filters are just attack/damage taken by others/allies.

Sounds like you have some filter messed up. I was Shoulder Tackle stunning just a few hours ago. I find it hard to do, I have to have the WS selected and the target selected with my finger on enter or I miss it, but I certainly see the message. I filter out all the PT attacks/missed attacks as well as my own for it.

Yes that is what I do. I have violent flourish selected on the mob and i hover over the enter button waiting for frog chorus, then suddenly I am charmed without ever seeing it in my logs. I do see Providence and Frog Cheer but either its lag or something I dont see Frog Chorus at all. I'll have to get back to you on this next time my group does Zhayolm.

If it's TPing right after you uncharm before anyone hits it, that could be a screwup on SE's part.
If you're getting some melee attacks on it's probably just lack of Subtle Blow like you said.
