tried taking a shortcut with update

i downloaded the update on megaupload and then did the update since it kept crashing and after i did that it went thru the updatw 100% but now ffxi crashes right before i select character. any help?

You need to disable distance and expwatch, comment them out in the init.txt in the windower scripts folder using // at the start of the line.

I also downloaded the update on megaupload. Everything worked fine until I tried zoning to WG and my computer immediately crashed. Tried checking files, checked expansion packs registration and saw nothing wrong. Tried restarting many times too, but nothing worked. Now, I'm stuck right where I usually got warped from Sandy to WG. Log-in > crash, Log in again > crash...My jeuno and city mules work fine though. I'm using vista btw. Anyone has similar problem?
