Questions for JP players

After a lot of Pointy History got garbled in the forum move, I have been re-scanning the pics and putting them on my own site. I've been using my site to collect a lot of the stuff I've done over the years as well. You can check it out in my sig if you want.

The point of this thread though, is I wanted to do try out some original content as well. I thought I'd let BG users help me experiment with this new idea.

Since people liked the JP reactions to Pandemonium Warden, I thought we could gather up some questions from forum-goers here, and I'd throw them out to JP forum-goers and post the results. Stuff like "why do you hate /check," "what's the best way to ask JP players to party," or anything serious or silly that's on your mind.

Might be a fun way to read some funny reactions, make things a little friendlier between the communties and maybe learn something you always wanted to know.

If you want to try it out, post a question. Also taking name suggestions for the content itself, like WWJD What would JP do? or something like that

What do the JPs hate most about the game, is it the same kind of things as the people here?

it would be interesting to get some of their game logged hours and see their reasons for still playing this game. wonder what kind of different responses we would get from our JP counterparts on that question, or is their reasons the same as ours ?

An aside (Don't derail the thread kids) Someone a loooong time ago tried to stipulate that the NA release ruined the game because RMT became huge. Which I'll give them credit, we didn't help. But I refuse to believe that JP weren't buying gil either.

Do you get annoyed by all the Sephiroth and Cloud clones in the game as much as we do?

How do you feel about English speaking players attempting to speak Japanese? (i.e. Using limited words/phrases. Additionally, those who only say "w")

I like this one, because I would like an answer to it... I've tried so many times to make an attempt to speak with them and they get pissed and say I'm being rude for speaking their language lol. I thought it was polite that I was making the effort ;/.

That's as stupid as when I see native english speaking players complaining about other non-native english player's writing skills.

EDIT: Now that I thought about it, it'd be nice to see if they share the same concerns as the NA/EU endgame community, like stuff concerning the kings system, some servers camping Khim/Tiamat for days, MNKs not having JSE (lol).

Square Enix mention many times that they are proud of their servers, being unique in the sense that many people from around the world are on the same server instead of splitting them by region, and can communicate with the auto translation feature.
Do you feel that this was a success or a failure? Do you think that mixing regions on the one server was a failure? Would you if you could choose, choose a JP only server?

Do you feel you have learned anything about the NA culture that you didn't know before? Perhaps a polite/impolite gesture that seemed innocent to you? (similar to how we see /check as innocent, and jp find it rude).

I think this is a great idea! Its always nice to know why there are so many differences between the eastern and western cultures in FFXI.

I wonder if Japanese people get offended when they ask a person to party and they say "SORRY ENGRISH ONLY LOL" I've always wanted to turn down a JP pt invite with that line since they say the same thing to us but "JP onry."

I've never tried this, so I'm open to suggestions. I was thinking I'd post maybe 10 questions, and tell each poster to answer as few or as many as they want and also include a question of their own. Then I collect 10 of their questions for here.
