Khroma Nuggets

There's a post about this (kind of) in Newbie, but I think everyone has been in Advanced lately and it hasn't generated much attention, so hopefully this does it.

Have people figured out if this is craftable into Khroma Ore/Wootz Ingot yet? I'd assume people are being quiet because if so the price is about to drop which is good for us salvage goers, but fail for those who make their bread and butter off Khroma.

This is exciting, as I said in the other thread, as I'm completely capable of farming these, maybe 5 a night for 20-30 nights depending on how many are needed per ore/ingot. Way better than praying Mount Z.'s mining spots aren't camped (as they are) or hoping that god awful Puk puts out.

EDIT: I'm 1/2 first try (then had to leave, but w/ TH3) and now 1/4 again w/ TH3. Will give more numbers as we kill.

EDIT 2: In case you couldn't tell, they drop off Hilltroll whatevers, Mount Z.

assuming it isnt, most ingot recipies that use nuggets are 6 nuggets and one ore. So youll still need a kroma ore to make the ingot, however you wont need 3 and a dynamis drop. well, shouldnt.

They're used in blu af1+1, they might not replace the ores at all, and might be just standalone BLU AF ugprade.

Well I've got 2 of them in my inventory, so no it's not a joke. And even if they replace 1 ore per synth, you're still more likely to get 6 of these before you get an actual ore (in my experience.)

Though like wafik said, they might not be anything but items for newjob AF+1, but I'm hoping/praying this isn't the case.

Keep in mind the ingot is called "imp. wootz ingot". Would be strange if there was no wootz in it, even if khroma is the main ingredient. >_>

Since the cap on recipe items is 8 items total, perhaps a recipe for it would be 6 khroma nugget + 1 khroma ore + 1 wootz ore with fire crystal for imp. wootz ingot?

where does the empire keep getting their wootz ore? it only drops in dynamis for us!

It'd be strange if there wasn't another recipe for it. Since Tuesday there's pretty consistently been about 30 imp. wootz ingots for sale all the time. Normally there's about 1-3 for sale at any given time, and the most I've ever seen is 9. That's a huge increase of imp. wootz ingots, although CAN possibly just be a fluke.

I don't necessarily remember Wootz being rare before. Then again I never paid attention, I was actually just there for fun (I know, in dynamis amirite?)

Might have more to do with people considering city runs, in this case Bastok, to snag some of the new AF.

If these nuggets follow the standard "2 nuggets per ore" then the following synths might be valid
Fire Crystal + Iron Ore + Khroma Ore + Khroma Nugget x2 + Wootz Ore
Fire Crystal + Iron Ore + Khroma Nugget x4 + Wootz Ore

Each does not break the 8 item limit. Time will tell. Though knowing SE the nuggets are only used for AF/Relic + 1.

They weren't rare per se but you would only get 5-6 per run. People have been reporting up to 15 now. Part of the reason that Imp. Wootz Ingots had increased in price was that Wootz Ore had become a limiting factor on the synth. Even if Khroma Ore remains as rare as it was prior to the update, the price will drop somewhat because Wootz Ore will decrease as part of the price.

No, the two cases that I have seen (http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showt...=63026&page=10) indicate that it is a per run increase in Wootz Ore.

was just in dyna bastok last night and saw about 5-6 wootz on the run. if the drop rate was increased, our run missed the memo. missed the memo about the new af2 too (not 1 drop) but that's beside the point.

Yeah, Kazoku on Fenrir is usually pretty good for 12-15 Wootz. We usually let it go free-for-all haha, been getting pretty good gil drops recently so the bank is in good shape.
