In all honesty though, if I want to watch star trek now of days (outside of all the reruns of the original series and such) I much prefer this:

It's by the guy who created Lost, so at worst we'll have Spock trying to figure out what the smoke monster killing people on Deck 12 is, then eventually battling it with his stolen powers.

I'm just not sure why they keep skipping around the time-line instead of continuing where TNG, DS9, and Voyager left off.

Maybe it's cause I'm not a trekky but I thought that's where most the viewer-base was, not with doing re-makes or re-imaginings of the original or prequels.

I get the cocky part of Kirk from this guy, but I don't get the likability and charisma that made the character awesome to begin with. Quinto looks like he should be able to pull of Spock, his eyebrows were always to put him on that line between angry and serious.
