    You realize you bolded cote?

Anderson, Alves though it could be close depending on how in shape/long koscheck was training when he took the fight, werdum, sherk via better boxing I guess, maynard, leites, fisher, franca, burkman

I think he has the ability to make an upset, very tough solid chin, good hands.

There's no way Silva will lose. Cote is tough, but Silva is tougher. Here's my pics:

Ok we get it, you want to be able to say I told you so when he wins on the %1 chance that Cote does. Seriously though....? Everyone has a good chin until you go up against someone who can hit you so solidly and accurately it doesn't matter.

Sucks that Spencer Fisher is on a prelim card. What a load of crap. He's incredible. I had the privilege of watching him train at the gym I go to, and christ he is fast as hell. Very cool guy too. You'd think with his record of 21 wins with only 4 losses would be enough to get him on the main card, but whatever.

I say Silva, Koscheck, Griffin, and Fisher. Some of the other names look familiar, but I don't remember enough about them to really make a call one way or the other.

I too am pissed about Fisher not making the main card -_-.

I'm going with Silva, Alves, Werdum, Sherk, and Maynard.

Only way Silva, is if he hurts himself. How many chances is UFC going to give Sell? If he loses/gets KO'd again, I think he'll be done.

What the fuck, I thought I was going to be the only person vouching for Cote. I've been saying it for months now... Way before the Almeida fight that Cote would be the man to dethrone Anderson Silva.

Actually, I'll be making the exact same main card predictions.

We talking about the same Silva here? Like others have said, you guys seem to be making more of a "I told you so" type pick. Cote is good, but Silva is better.

You can like whatever fighter you want. Doesn't augment the reality of the gap between their skill in any way, shape, or form.

As much as I like Cote, I just don't think he will be able to last. I also think Sherk is going to absolutely dismantle Griffin. I don't know why. Just a hunch I guess.

It's not even an "I told you so" type fighter. Cote is one of the most underrated fighters out there. Sure he lost his first four fights in the UFC, but lets take a look at them, shall we?

Tito Ortiz - First fight ever in the UFC (when Tito was good), took the fight on like four days notice, and did very well against him. He also moved up from MW to LHW to fight him.

Joe Doerkson - I think he was winning this fight, but his ground game at the time was still pretty week, and he got subbed by RNC in the third round.

Chris Leben - I don't know how the judges gave Leben the win, Cote won that fight.

Travis Lutter - No excuses here, this is a loss with no excuse other than Cote's ground game sucked. However, Travis Lutter was also the closest man to beat Anderson in the Octagon to date.

Five wins and two years since his last loss, Cote is now a completely different fighter. OK, Anderson has been on a tear lately. Sure, he's probably the best striker and his ground game is better. But lets look at some pros for Cote:

He's stonger and has better wrestling. I wouldn't doubt it if he tried to take him down, and I bet he can.

He's never been even been rocked by a punch (let alone knocked out). He has some experience in boxing, too. He did lose by TKO once, but that loss was due to a cut and the doctors didn't let him continue.

He's the underdog and has tons of confidence, as well as a great team behind him. There's really no pressure on him at all, it's a win win as long as he doesn't lose by knockout in the first round.

His punches have tons of power behind them. Sure he might not hit Anderson all that often, but when he does, it'll be hard.

With all this in mind, including the fact that this is MMA and absolutely anything can happen, do you really think that it's THAT impossible that he wins? Obviously I believe that the Spider is a better overall fighter, but that does not mean I think he'll win this fight.

If Cote wins, it's due to TKO within the first three rounds or split decision.

If Anderson wins, I think it'd due to a submission in the 3-5 round frames.

cote is a man on a mission and he has a better chance of beating anderson than anyone out there right now. no man is indestructable. people seem to think certain people in mma are unbeatable or untouchable...that just isn't the case. wanderlei went 3 or 4 years without a loss and people thought he was unstoppable. it just takes the right man at the right time to put a hold on that. i agree anderson is an amazing fighter, but don't act like any fight is a 100% or even 70% chance to a sure thing.
