Dextrose - Low-man possible?

As the title implies, is it possible for a solo or low-man/manaburn of Dextrose to be done? If so, how many were needed, what strategies used, etc.

I've been sitting on a pop item for nearly six weeks and my normal group gets distracted by other ZNMs people need, so I'm curious as to if I can knock this one out of the way on my own or with a small group.

I have done it with 3 BLMs, a PLD, and a RDM. I know this is 5 people, and may not be the low man that you want, but the PLD and RDM(yes, lolmelee) got TP while we were clearing the mobs, did a skillchain (think frag iirc) and then the BLMs just blew it up. It really doesn't have that much HP or MagicDEF and if you can pop it soon enough after killing the mobs around the ??? I'd imagine 4BLMs could burn it down using a kiting strategy.

If I recall, With three BLMs, each of us hitting a T2 AM Magic Burst on the first SC, I did another AM2 and one more T4, while the other BLMs each did 2 T4s. That took it down pretty quickly, I think only one BLM resisted their T4.

I'd imagine about 4-5AM2s and 5-6 T4s would bring him down pretty low if you use a manaburn strat, just don't let him get near any other puddings you didn't kill.

myself and a pld duo'd this nin/dnc and pld/dnc i think might have had nin sub but he has aegis excal and i have kikoku not very hard imo just pull it away from the other puddings close to the ledge in that hall.

just make sure to erase the magic down on the tank

You can do it, pretty much, with any melee/nin and rdm/drk. He doesn't do anything especially dangerous, except spikes, and that's only when you ws it.

Edit: If you nuke it, he does mab/mdb buff, ws it does spikes, debuff it does magic def down. He's really easy to control, as long as you know what you're doing.

i duoed this with a rdm friend of mine a couple days ago as a mnk and rdm. i never used counterstance since slow 2 landed ok most of the time, and i brought magic def gear for the ga's. He's not too bad. He can get annoying on low % because that's when he'll start spamming that scythe move, but meh, you can counter than with an 'Ohshit' macro np.

what you should do is kill the antares around that area and the pudding, pop it and run it to the ledge South of pop spot, that way itll be too far to run to the other flans for the HP healing.

like someone earlier said, you can do it with anything /nin really. Just pull him more than 30 distance between any from any other flan in case he needs to do that annoying healing move. If you have him that far back, youll be ok, and have it all to yourself. I went mnk in case Slow II didnt land so i can rely on counter, but it didnt even have to come to that. You'll be fine DD nin.

i dont know what the minimum distance its supposed to be, but we were safe w/30.
