I love how they are getting more serious as time goes on. Ni longer bad guys in wheelchairs who pet cats. It's more of now from what i can tell with this one that he's truly trying to fight himself

I'm the minority who didn't like this new Bond and wasn't a fan of Casino Royale at all. That being said, the trailer makes this one look better, I hope it's more like Flemming's portrayal of Bond.

In regards to the above post about his hair color, I have to agree. I've read about 11 or 12 of Flemming's books, and in every one Bond is described as tall, dark, suave, ect. This guy really doesn't come off like that (not just physically), and I see glaring differences in how he carries himself on screen as opposed to how Bond is described in the books and how Connery and Pierce (accurately) carried themselves. I hope he changes in QoS, but it looks like the story will be entertaining regardless.

Er, what? Physical appearance aside, Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond is far more in line with the way he was shown in the books. Sean Connery took his own spin on the idea, and since that point everyone who played Bond was basing themselves off Connery's portrayal, not the actual book version.

The point with Casino Royale (which was the very first Bond novel) was that the series from this point is going back to his origins, and it's showing his development to the smooth and calculated Agent we know today.

in all seriousness; bond was supposed to be ironic, brutal, and cold - at least based on the early novels by fleming. (I agree that he doesn't look that much like the visual description of bond from the novels but he nailed the personality the best of any bond so far honestly.)

I love bond movies, seen every single one, and hate to say it but Casino Royale was easily one of my favorites. The older bonds were awsome, but I love how much darker Daniel Craig made it. Pierce was good but the movies became cornier and cornier as they went on. Though he doesnt fit the style I'm use to seeing Bond in, he's by far the best Bond. *Edit* Though its hard to say that because Sean Connery was so damn good.

Well, Casino Royale is supposed to be about bond just after he gets 00 status. That explains the more emotion and such in the character. I would guess if they do any more movies later in Bond's career, he would have the cool British attitude.

Will be interesting to see what they will chose for Craig's 3rd film, and if Craig gets signed on to do any more films. He's only contracted for 3 atm. Im guessing if he doesnt go past three, theyll stay in Bond past, but it'll be interesting if they go to the present/future and if his character will change at all.

agreed. I hateddddddd every movie after Goldeneye, then this shining bolt of gold encrusted sex light came. I like these movies again.

I can definitely see why you would have this opinion, but I know I'm not the only one who could take 50 bond movies that are like From Russia with Love or Goldeneye or Dr. No. I just hope they go back to the older movie style sooner or later.

Kinda like FF really, I understand why they change it up, but I could take a bunch of FF games that are like FF4/6/9.
