I have had a couple of people ask me about the strategy for this, so I thought I would post it here for general access in case anyone else is interested.
This is done Nin/dnc.
The first few times I would bring hi pots, but once I got used to it no extra meds where needed.
There are 3 steps. You should aim to spend about 30 minutes on each step, leaving you with a spare 10mins.
1st floor
Step 1: Farming.
After getting the chest, head west and open the west door. The cells in the chest will guarantee you are able to solo the basic fomors.
I would then farm the first fomor you meet and the ones in the first 2 square rooms at (F/G-8 ). Usually killing about 3 in each of the 2 first rooms would give me a nearly full gearset and a couple of stats and hp.

These fomors can be sneaked past, so once you have all the gear you need proceed to loot the chests in both rooms, (with sneak up), (milks pots elixirs really help on Hammerblow). This would usually take about 30mins, (although first time was a bit longer).
Note: When you are checking chests make a note of how many of each item there are. If there is more than 1 of an item you can use it on step 2 because you will have 1 left in the chest to go back and get for Hammerblow after you have finished step 2, this will allow you to use tp for ws rather than cures and save you time.
Step 2: Popping Hammerblow.
This bit is tricky at first but once you get used to it it is easy. Proceed to (G-10) and you will find 6 fomor in a line in the room, you need to kill all of these to pop Hammerblow and they all link.
Handy to have a ranged for this (Boomerang is nice)(movement adds safety but is in no way needed, did this in the day time a few times with no problems).
Stand at max ranged distance from the group, in the hallway you came from, and ra one of them. Then you run back the way you came staying max distance ahead of them (but not getting so you can't target them anymore >50''). Usually they will de-aggro at about the start of the corridor at (F-9).

Once they De-aggro the trick is to pull one from the group and solo it. Usually they will start walking back at different paces so you can pull one easily, although sometimes you might have to pull 2-3 and run back even further till they deaggro again till you have 1.
These fomor are a bit harder than the ones in the starting rooms, mnks especially.
Repeat step 2 untill all the fomor are dead.
Step 3: Hammerblow.
1st attempt.

Before you start Hammerblow make sure you go and get items from the chests in the first 2 rooms to replace any you have used on the pull (Check my note at end of step 1).
Important: Make sure there are 2 milks left for Hammerblow, use one just before you go to him then take another from the chest, that will give you big regen for most of the fight
Over the times I did this I experimented with eva tanking him and DD tanking him. I found that full eva tank of him usually took about 30mins so if you have this much time left this is probably the safest way. Slow blind and para all stick and all really help, so make sure you have enough tools (Although 1 time I forgot all but shihei and still cleared so he can't be that tough lol).
If you are going to eva tank, make sure you have a full haste +eva everywhere else set to macro in for shadows.
In my last couple of runs I just stuck to a eva/haste set full time, once I got comfortable with his attack style.
I wouldn't bother holding over 100 tp for cures because he will use carnal nightmare that reduces your tp - 0, so use waltzes when you have to but when you do get to 100tp weaponskill, it speeds up the fight a lot too.
Once I got used to him I was using 90% of my tp for weapon skills and doing hardly any cures, but that took a couple of tries to get completely used to him.
Hammerblow:

Mnk. Does 2-3 attacks per round but his attack rounds have a big gap between them.
If you time your ichi so you start it just after his first attack of the round you can get a full ichi in between his attack rounds even when he isn't slowed.
Tp moves:
Aegis Schism: 75% defense down, erase this asap.
Shackled fists: 5 hit ws (Never used this very much for me, maybe 1-2X per fight)
Carnal Nightmare: reduces tp to 0 (Makes holding tp over 100% pointless, so once you get to 100 just use it to ws if not needed for immediate cures)
Dancing chains: Drown + str down, erase also.
All others: Dmg, absorbed by shadows.
It just takes 1-2 attempts to get used to this run and it becomes really easy.

Good luck with your drops, they will happen eventually.

Ignore the different character models (just messing around with plastic surgeon)
Edit: Solo Salvage Entry:
You need a pt of 6 to enter all lvl 65+ with a Remnants permit and some form of warp (/blm is best).
Gather everyone together outside the door of the remnants and once everyone is ready go into the entry dialogue. Get to the last line of the dialogue before entry and recheck readiness. Then give everyone a / just after you have hit the last option and it is connecting you, this is their cue to warp. This will leave you in solo and everyone else out with there permits unused.
