    Billing question

    A friend of mine more/less gave me his account until he decides to come back, and I told him I'd pay for the account until that day comes around

    Anyways, I looked at my most recent POL billing on my Visa and it shows my account (14.95) and then it shows his account (25.90)

    His account doesn't have any mules, so why was I billed about 12-13 dollars more? Is there a processing fee because I changed the billing to a different card? Should I call them and demand a refund to my credit card?

    edit: I re-activated his account, is there a re-activation fee? I'm not sure when he last logged in but it's been a long time. Maybe that's where the extra fee came from?

    Pretty sure there's a reactivation fee.

    He might have just blocked/whatever the last payment when he left so you have to pay that along with the fees for that month no matter what day it is (1st vs the 31st)

    You get billed on the first of the month.

    But! You get charged a flat fee for a month or part thereof, so if you reactivate an account, you seem to get billed twice on the first of the next month (once for the month just passed, and once in advance).

    If you got billed when you reactivated, AND twice at the start of the next month, give their customer service a yell...

    this sounds exactly like what happened, thanks for the replies. next month i should only be getting a 12.95 bill for his account hopefully
