PS2 'Must Play' Titles

Just got my old PS2 back from a friend and decided to put some use to it and play some games I never played that people seemed to love.

Are there any games I should order on amazon, to add to my 'must play' queue, while I'm playing these?

For RPGs: Suikoden V, as mentioned above, Valkyrie Profile 2, Radiata Stories, Rogue Galaxy. Not sure about Suikoden III as I haven't played it yet, but it got great reviews.

I know you already have SotC, but I will say it again, because it is THAT awesome.

I loved Suikoden III a lot.

Okami is also quite good, and its a pretty game.

FFXII is worth playing for the nice acting and the gameplay, but don't expect the story to ever actually go anywhere.

Uhh, Shadow of the Colossus is up there... but why no love for Ico? Sure, may not be as shiny looking since it came out 4 years before SotC but it is still a must play.

I've actually been replaying some PS2 games with my swap magic so I'll suggest some of the gems I've played quite recently actually. There are a lot of good games here, but I'm gonna keep my list to AMAZING games.

Yakuza 1 & 2 - Like Shenmue but not boring. Better in every way.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI - I always found these games complicated as hell, but this was easy enough to figure out. Just hold council meetings for basic suggestions, and the game can play itself. ROTK 9 is actually easier, but I love the grid on XI.

Final Fantasy 12 - I actually only enjoyed this for the MMO aspects and hunts more than anything. The inner FFXI player in me enjoyed camping my Danjuro and Yagyu Darkblade to oblivion. I think I had to get chain 50 before my Darkblade dropped. ~_~ Surprisingly tedious NM spawn conditions and drop rates for a single player game, haha, but as an XI player it should be no sweat.

Silent Hill 4 - Game is fucking scary. If you're a true SH fan, you may not enjoy it as much, but I loved the trade-off for a more action orientated game.

Ape Escape 2 & 3 - I loved Ape Escape on the PSX, and to find out that PS2 had 2 sequels was mind blowing. The game is about gadgets and catching mischievous apes, what more do you want?

Sly Cooper - I love the exploration and depth behind this game, and it's just simply great platforming. I liked the themes better than J&D, but that's another good series, but I liked Sly Cooper better.

Makai Kingdom/Disgaea/Phantom Brave - They're all basically the same game, so just choose your flavor. Greatest strategy rpgs but the formula is being abused to hell and it's wearing thin. First time players should thoroughly enjoy it though.

Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne - A hardcore RPG. You will die, a lot, instantly at times, with no control over it. Awesome atmosphere, story and the gameplay is like a darker version of Pokemon.

Well I hope that's useful- otherwise just go to a game review site and sort by score. Does about as much good as that collage.

I'd add some of the psp->ps2 ports like Silent Hill Origins, R&C Size Matters (the whole R&C Series for that matter), Lumines Plus, and Secret Agent Clank.
