An old Friend was on the Colbert Report

Has anyone been watching Colbert in Iraq? Funny stuff as usual. Stephen getting his hair cut was hilarious.
Then I was shocked to see one of my old work friends being interviewed as a guest on by Stephen! I used to work with Taraq Salha for 3 years as a cell phone technicians and as Production Managers. We used to go out drinking after work, and he used to drink entire bottles of Hooters Hot sauce for money or beer. The company we worked for shut down, and I hadn't seen him in about 4 years. He is now an Arabic Translator for the Military, and that was why he was on the Colbert Report.

Went to school with Lexi, not like we are friends or anything but we've had a talk or two.

And about Magic, its hard to describe since I'm not really 'blood' related to him. My mother was married to a guy who was like his cousin or something of the sort. And then my mother got with my dad and had me but for a while I still had the Johnson last name. My mother kept in contact with her ex's mother and we had a family reunion when I was a kid in which he came to. Since I was a little kid I really didn't know who he was or gave a damn. But my mother still talks about it constantly.

Also, I know Greg Jennings a Wide Receiver from Green Bay. He went to a competing High School, Kalamazoo Central I believe it was. I was a few years younger then him though. But he used to shop at the store I worked at when he first made it pro and he pulled a couple Western shirts and hats off the rack and signed em all for me.

Henry Thomas went to the same Middle school as me. He was couple grades above me. I never saw him cause he was usually gone doing movies.

I was an extra in "Any Given Sunday" when it was filmed in Miami. My ex GF at the time of "Something About Mary" came out as an extra in one of the scenes as well.

I shot Pat Sharp (English 80's tv/radio) in the balls with a Quasar (laser tag) gun at a radio one roadshow live on air when i was 13. The gun even did the "DING good shot" thing when I did it. Was beautiful.

I used to work in the theatre a lot in college. One of the Equity actors was the neighbor on It's a Small World. And he does a lot of skits on the Chappelle Show.

Only thing is the guy is like 60+ and creepy as hell. He came into the green room wearing titty whities and a huge boner to get his mic pack 'cause he thought it was funny. He also tried to get all the girls to go out on a date with him....talk about ruining childhood memories!

A lot of my old co-workers way back in the day got to be extras in the movie Amastad. They filmed it at the Mystic Seaport where I worked over the summer. Sucked though cause they filmed it in april/may so I didn't get to be there. :/

Lastly, not on tv but I'm proud anyways so mentioning XD My fiance is a 3-D technically director for a show on Animal Planet. I keep trying to get him to put our rats in the show, so who knows!

When I was in high school I won this scholarship and was on the news for it a couple times. The scholarship association was so inspired by my story that they chose to give me 1 of 4 parts in a video they were making for that year called "Only in America" and it was Hosted by Ed McMahon. It was pretty cool since I was one of 4 people selected out of everyone who got the scholarship that year (I think 110 students?). It was kind of cool because a lot of the celebrities recognized me from the video. Looking back, I looked like a total douche in the video, and it sucks because last I heard they still show it at my high school.

One of my best friends and his Dad were extras in "So I married an axe murderer." My friends part got cut, but you can still see his dad in the movie.
My friend Trenton was on MTV when MTV was in Iraq or Afghanistan. Everyone thought he was hot shit for awhile but they got over it.
My friend Ed did a spot on CNN about the cafe he works at in NY called Cafe Grumpy. He started working there with no knowledge about coffee and now he's like their head coffee buyer and goes on trips to Guatemala all the time. It was pretty cool.
Quite a few bands that I'm friend's with have some notable tv/radio appearances, the big ones I can think of: Goodnight Sunrise, Anatomy of a Ghost/Portugal the Man, Kane Hodder, Three Inches of Blood, the Sharktopus, Bitchin' Summer.

Thats pretty much it for people I actually know. When I was a kid my dad had some relatively famous clients, and I'm acquintances with some other "celebrity types", but I wasn't really counting friend of a friend stuff.
