so the most recent patch on the 360 somehow borked a bunch of my avi's and wont let me watch them.
several other avi's on the list are working just fine, wondering if anyone is having similar issues at all?

Yea had one of my avi files stop halfway saying uplayable codec bla bla. And its stuff that always worked before patch.
did you sign up for the preview update thing? I have. the one with Facebook, Twitter, LastFM, Zune Marketplace, etc etc. and I got in. before the update I was able to play all sorts of video files from my Zune player and now, after the update, it detects my Zune player as some rogue outside device and doesnt even see anything. pics, music or video. GOGO Microsoft! >.>
ya something is going on, haven't found anyone else online on other forums or boards that are having this issue. but kind really pisses me off i hope they address this
browsing the Xbox forums I heard people having similar issues and that clearing the Xbox 360 cache fixed it in some cases. however beware that doing so, if you have FFXI installed, you would have to re-install and re-download the patches.
I also read some other things regarding Netflix. someone said Xbox maybe ending its partnership with Netflix b/c of the Zune Marketplace thing they are intregating into the Xbox 360.
M$ wants people to download and purchase movies from their thing and not go thru Netflix. I googled and found nothing. I hope this isnt true. sadly but about 90% of my Xbox 360 usage is because of Netflix instant streaming feature. I may just sell it if that is true. Anyone hear anything about such a thing?
i haven't heard of that but i wouldnt say it's not true
however i dont think they would end the relationship based solely on zune, especially now with netflix on ps3 and wii(soon) they surely know that dropping such a service would push many users to other platforms.
on topic, going to try and clear my cache today and see if that works.
