People need to stop calling me

I don't know the deal is but apparently people dial my number all the fucking time for no god damn reason. Lately some stupid bitch named erin gave a bunch of jackoffs my number instead of hers so now I have a bunch of dildos calling me at all god damn hours of the day. It's not even the interuption that bothers me as much as the fact that these people are giving me shit for the fact that they dialed the wrong number.

I had some people calling me at work when I changed numbers -- it turned out the local medical centre had been giving out my number as one of their doctors' numbers. So I'd get old ladies asking me in French all sorts of crazy stuff and then they were completely unable to understand what I was trying to say back. The only way I managed to actually work out what sort of person they were trying to contact was when one old man was trying to get me to put him through to Dr Someone or other (of course being at a university there are lots of Dr Someone or others!) and then ended up saying "I'm going to the hospital now" after I was trying to look up the name he was asking me for in the index... lol. Poor guy. I hope he's okay.

A guy was doing this once. Think he was giving a "fake" number to chicks he didn't like, but that number ended up being mine (which i had for 3 years already).

Women would call and ask if Dijon was there, and of course give me a big attitude over it being the wrong number. Finally, some chick like flipped on me being like "I know he's fucking there bitch put him on the god damn phone!" And I responded "Look I've never even met a Dijon in my life, and if you call again, I'm calling the cops." then the phone calls stopped. (thinking it must have gotten back to him somehow so he stopped using my number, or some shit.)

I've had this phone for years. Some of the best were someone wishing me a happy thanksgiving via text. I didn't know who it was so I called them and he said he got the wrong number.

Weirdest was on new years night. Right after midnight I got a random call from some chick talking about how the world was gonna end that night. I hear people giggling + a lot of noise and the background and I say "uhh.. what"? And she goes "oh sorry wrong number" and they just burst out laughing and apologize and hang up.

Worst was waking up at 5 AM on a night I didn't get much sleep + had to get up early for that day. This was what our conversation was like:

Me: Hello.
Them: Hi.
Me: Hello?
Them: Who is this?
Me: Dude you woke me up you're asking me who I am?


I want to block people not in my address book. I wonder if that's possible. Also today when I was in class I forgot my phone on and some random person kept calling me during class. Argh.

I don't know my phone number from memory actually. People will go "but isn't this blablabla" and I say "dude I dunno my phone number but you dialed wrong".

"Hello you've reached [name]. Yes, [NAME]. If you are not calling for [name], do not leave some random ass message or call twice. Dial the right number next time."

My friends think it's funny, and after two months my false alarm calls shut the fuck down. I only get one or two a season.

Also, apparently before I got the number, my old phone was for a drug dealer, used to get all kinds of calls asking me to drive out with some stuff until I got someone to stay on the line for a bit to talk and tell him to ask his dealer to let people know he had a new phone...
